A well thought out and balanced system. It promotes more fights and causes the matches to be closer, which will overall cause the system to be used less.

I posted this as a blog to my Guild’s Website. I would post it here, but it’s too long so I’ll drop the summary.
Summary:
WvW “guesting” while queues are full
“Mentor” and “Student” are set by WvW ranks and are static.
Restrictions on Guests, but no repair costs.
Feel free to make comments and to tear the suggestion apart.
Couple of Problems with your first post. There is no chest from Adelbern, just a leftover chest from other other boss fight on that platform.
Second, the group gets kicked only if the group leader disbands. I’m guessing this is what happened.
Thirdly, everyone gets a Rare (Yellow) helm the first time they do a story dungeon. I haven’t tested, but I have a feeling the quest reward persists after zoning.
I do agree that a group leader shouldn’t be able to disband their group though, merely leave it. I can see no real benefit from having a disband option at current other than greifing.
