And I mean, Yaks could have picked a better server to have an alliance with, even being double teamed, Ebay didn’t beat us by much lol.. BP hasn’t been hate targetting EB this match either, you can clearly see that we’ve been hitting both sides fairly equally by both of their scores.

Teaming up with another server in matchups basically just makes both sides look weak, I know that Yaks can beat BP, you all have t2 coverage. You’re fighting SBI and Maguuma and all 3 of your scores are so close together. Go figure, a tier 2 server is on par with 2 servers that didn’t belong in Silver lol..

Alliance or not (whether or not we had one depends on who I talk to, it seems) it makes sense for both of us to focus you. Your numbers have grown, and since then you’ve regularly beaten EB when a larger server wasn’t there to put your numbers in check. Yaks focused you because you were the larger threat, EB focused you because there isn’t a chance in hell we take out Yaks. It’s the smart move by both servers.

Had a good time GvGing with BB on Wednesday. We have some scheduling issues that prevent us from having a consistent GvG group, so we’re still in a building phase. Still, you swept us in fine fashion (and according to our back line your thief was a royal pain), but we had fun. Thanks for going a few rounds extra; it gave us some extra time in the field with our people. GG.

If we hadn’t gone to sleep that waypoint would still be there; we farmed you guys with equal numbers (and often less than you) all night.

The 80’s won’t help, that is the problem. I’ve never received a silver from them from any JP chest, so I made the alt (and bought the char slot for it). The question is why does farming the requisite amount of doubloons (or gold needed to buy) take so much longer than farming the lodestones required for most of the other legendaries? At market prices late this afternoon I could have crafted the vast majority of the gift of darkness with just the gold needed for the doubloons.

“Farming” them is painfully inefficient, and as a result their supply is low to the point that one person can manipulate the market. I’m not asking for then to be dirt cheap (as they once were), just for them to be gained reliably with methods more in line with playing a game like this normally. Parking an alt or three at JP chests isn’t fun, and isn’t the kind of thing I think Anet should promote.

How often did your SO see a Doubloon drop from the JPs? I’ve got 5 80’s, and an early 20’s toon, even if he found a Doubloon in each JP chest he visited it would take 250 puzzles to get the needed amount :\

Hey, sorry if this is in the wrong place… wasn’t sure if legendary discussion would be better suited to the crafting sub-forum.

I know I’m not the first to bring this up, but getting the silver doubloons needed for the Vial of Quicksilver is pretty ridiculous. The market’s being strangled (with prices sometimes going as high as 88s-1g), they’re practically un-farmable, and can’t be crafted/transmogged with JC like gold doubloons. Why can’t we upgrade copper doubloons to silver, craft them with some other recipe, or have them drop as frequently as cores or Lodestones from specific mobs or locations?
