Pretty much everyone in our small Aus guild was in the ’can’t wait’ category and would of pre-ordered right away but with little known about how much content there actually is plus our kitten exchange rate, everyone has second thoughts.
A poll on our forums shows that not a single member has pre-ordered yet.
One vote is in ‘Not interested in returning for HoT anymore’ and the rest are all in ‘Not going to pre-order but might get after release’.
(I’m sure the odd member has pre-ordered but has note voted though)
I’m happy to sit and wait.
It’s early days and there is no hurry.
I’m just hoping Anet either has a lot of unannounced content up their sleeve to justify the cost or they adjust/fix the current pricing structure and inclusions.
Yes, there should be some incentive to actually pre-order!
If not then I’m hoping that once it hits the shelves in Aus, the price will have to be adjusted or else it will be almost as much as complete new AAA games.

There is no hurry.
The smart move is to just wait and see what happens and decide at a later date.

I do want to return and at some point will return….but not at the current prices.
If they include a toon slot then I don’t mind the $50 one quite as much.
I still feel as an expansion though, it should of been $40 max and include a toon slot as standard. (considering it has a new class to play)
The deluxe and ultimate editions however are now excluded from my buy possibility due to current kitten Aus exchange rate.

BTW, if someone buys the expansion and Anet are including the original game again, does that mean that someone can give that original game to a friend?

79.99 USD equals over $100 Aus …for for an expansion.!
Just wow. That’s insane.
(I know I could of referenced the $49.99 version but what good is the expansion without a character slot. Myself and many others already have one of each profession)
The complete game at launch cost less than that with 5 Character slots.
I was super keen for this and willing to pre-order but will now give it a miss until it’s on sale.
>very disappointed<

1. Player housing, either inside the guild hall or a more customizable home instance.
2. Crafting of items for player housing/guild halls.
3. Achievement announcement in guild option.
4. The ability to save armor/traits as others have mentioned.
5. More of Tyria unlocked to explore.
6. Mounts (same speed as swiftness so more like a collectable)
7. New dungeons.
8. Some form of raid content. (Maybe 10 man)
Not much really
Just an idea for an item that guilds could use for their own events, similar to the ‘lost coins or badges’ in Silverwastes and Dry Top.
This could be in the form of a small Guild coin or a smaller version of a guild banner.
Just something that could be hidden by players themselves to create a small event for their guild.
These items would be invisible to everyone except the person hiding them until the event is activated, and then only visible to guild members.
There could be a Guild NPC to start the event and also for players to hand their coins/banners into, maybe even with a score table of who in the guild is currently winning.
The event could be time limited, say for example items disappear after 1 hour / 24 / hours / 1 week / whatever, and the winner announced in guild.
+1
I sure hope a multiple build/trait save feature is added.
Unless I die beforehand, I can safely say I’ll buy it.
Although I have not played so much lately due to long term guild dying and getting a bit bored of the pve content (I really don’t enjoy pvp in mmo’s), I still feel that there was so much content to explore and enjoy for the money.
I’d much sooner have the one off payment to buy an expansion and play for free rather than double dip like Blizz.
Is this Trebuchet achievement still bugged as it’s still the only one I need and can’t seem to get it.
According to dulfy…
“There are three karma items you can get inside the dungeon off human corpses that will reward you with Jug of Liquid Karma when you turn them in. There is also a cooldown associated with it so you can’t get them every dungeon run. All three corpses are located in the area where you need to rescue 10 prisoners”
Hope this might help you.

I always switch to a falling damage reduction trait when doing elevated jumping puzzles…so yer…not totally useless.
Also sitting on 36/37 and missing the Loch Jezt goggles like many others. (Sea of Sorrows)
I don’t think the wiki is correct either with the 30 min spawn bug as I’ve sat there much longer than that while eating dinner and still nothing.
