I just purchased a (permanent) Royal Terrace Pass and nothing appeared in my inventory. How is it supposed to be delivered after purchasing it? Thanks for the help!

How do you generally fear something?

Thank you all for the very helpful replies. I still have a lot to learn.

How do you generally fear something?

Hi folks – I’m still learning necro mechanics, so please forgive what may be an elemental question. I’m only aware of five ways for a necro to fear something (on land and not downed): Doom, Spectral Wall, Corrupt Boon, Well of Corruption, and Reaper’s Mark. The last three seem “situational” (maybe they proc, maybe not) so that only seems to leave Doom and Spectral Wall as “controllable”. Is your best option really popping in and out of Death Shroud just to invoke Doom, or is there a better way to fear a player/mob?

Thanks for the help!

Is there a way to compare two builds?

Hi folks – I’ve been having a lot of fun with an engineer bomb build lately. I had been using a lot of runes prioritizing condition damage (Necromancer, I believe), but just replaced them with power runes (Warrior). It “feels” like my dps has dropped a little bit, but I don’t know of a way to quantitatively measure it. Is there any site or tool that could help? Thanks again for the help!

Could someone explain avoidance mechanics?

These are all really helpful suggestions, thank you very much.

Playing an engineer focused on bombs, I basically have to get into reasonably close proximity to targets – at least I think I do. I will do some reading on ways to increase endurance regeneration (for dodging) – that skill seems pretty important. Thanks again!

Hi folks – I guess I understand that a large part of combat defense is “avoidance”, but I don’t really grasp how that translates into mechanics. Is the only effective defense dodging (the “V” key)? Or does movement help, whether strafing or running around like an idiot? Or do traits and skills factor into it?

Thanks for the help. For context, I’m trying to do this as an engineer, and my most effective defense so far has been the aforementioned running around like an idiot while dropping bombs. Entertaining, but perhaps not effective

Where can I learn more about PBAoE skills?

That’s a really good point and I appreciate the clarification. I forgot about melee weapons, and that’s an important factor to consider. I was thinking initially of spell casters, so thanks for the help.

Hi Folks:
I’m having difficulty finding much content regarding point blank area of effect (PBAoE) skills. My interest is in which professions tend to have more of them available relative to ground-targeted AOE skills. Any information you might have would be appreciated. Thanks!

Do "rotations" exist in this game?

I’m obviously showing what game I moved on from, but I admit to not understanding how to create DPS effectively. I know enough to use cooldowns when available, but does the concept of a “rotation” exist, or is it all about “combinations” (which I seem to create only accidentally). Thanks for the help!
