more of the end game. we typically play from 7-10 central time on weeknights and later on weekends. but we are fairly active (and have young children) so we are not on every night but we would try to be involved in guild activities as much as we can.

Hello, my wife and i have been playing Guild Wars 2 on and off since the first beta after pre-order started. we are very experienced mmorpgers but despite having two max level characters each (and several alts) we have never gotten to much into the end game, we enjoy questing and exploring the world a bit to much (and trying the other classes on our alts). Our main guild was starting to get us involved in their FoTM runs but since the launch of Wildstar our guild has all but disbanded. (it was dying of prior). We are tank and healer (raiders) at heart, but have been unable to fill that void in our souls since leaving WoW (Rift, SWTOR, LOTRO, GW, Tera, Neverwinter, Allods, FFXIV… Wildstar, we’ve tried them all, some a couple times). We have decided to return to GW2 and look for a fresh change of scenary, and active guild, and start trying

I raided for several years in WoW, and i enjoyed it, but really it seemed more like a job than a game at times, i spent so much time studying each encounter and each of my classes. And as it turns out, the only reason i was doing it is so that i could see that game content, i didnt care about the loots beyond that fact that it was the key to get into the next raid.

I enjoy having all of the games content available for me to enjoy at my leisure. But i think that some kindof harder DE’s would be enjoyable aswell (instanced would also be nice to avoid freeloaders and grievers). I am completely fine with how the game is now though, the wiff and i have a blast every time we long on!

Don’t feel bad, the mods here just kind of make up the rules as they go…

In my guild thread i did a bump one day, they deleted it and said that I cant bump my thread with a post that lacks content. That was completely fine with me, So a couple days later i added and Update about how our guild is growing and that we have brought in a lot of good people and that we had a guild event scheduled for the next weekend… stuff like that, I got the same message saying that my post lacked content, with a special note saying that i should’ve just edited my original post… Not sure why i would edit my guild recruitment post with an update post…. but oh well. I figured out then that the problem wasnt my posts, it was that they didnt want my to bump my thread in any fashion… and if thats the case why dont they just make a rule “DONT BUMP YOUR THREAD!” that would remove all confusion… but oh well, atleast the game is fun…

Agree with jestunhi here, I would do the jumping puzzels even if there wasnt a chest at the end because i have fun doing them…. same reason i am playing any other part of this game, because i have fun playing this game. My wife and I played about 5 hours the other night (saturday i beleive) and we leveled up once… only made about 20 silver each(but we salvage everyhting…) and had a blast the entire time we were playing…

I was gonna write a whole long thing, but i deleted it about half way….

Anet say that they provided boosters in the cash shop to accomodate players who would rather invest $$$ instead of time into the game. However they also appear to be handicapping those who have unlimited time to play. That doesnt make sense to me, If somone has that much time that they can already be to level 80 (I have been playing as much as i can since headstart and only have a 34 and a 22…) and working on legendaries and whatever else they shouldnt have thier progress slowed…

Dyes - Please make them account bound.

I would like to enjoy the dye system, but with character bound dyes i find that (for me atleast) it just becomes a big hassel storing all the dyes that i come across that i cannot decide which character to have them on, and it stresses me out that i could possibly apply the dye to the wrong character and regret it later, or i could sell the dye then when i start to play an alt a year from now i am hitting myself in the head… “oh man i had that dye and i sold it!”. Also, there is no way in hell i am even going to attempt to collect the ?350? dyes on all 5 characters!
If the dyes were account wide it would alleviate my concerns and i would totally buy into the “gotta get them all!” mentality. But the way the system is now ive gotten to the point that when i get a dye i just take a glance at it and then toss it up on the tradeing post instead of stressing about what to do with it, It really sucks that i am not enjoying this part of the game but this IS a GAME and i should be enjoying myself, not stressing over what to do with a specific color of pixels…. Depending on how many people out there have the same feelings about the system as i do, having dyes character bound could possibly be detremental to the sale of dye packs on the gem shop. Also, I know that having the dyes character bound is pushing many players away from enjoying the system, and isnt that whats really important? The Players.
Only suggestion i have here is to make dyes account wide but reduce the drop rate so it is still a feat to collect all the dyes but then you wont have to worry about storeing them or getting them on the right character when you do get them.

I like that there are so many different ways to enjoy GW2, there are so many different things to do and so many different systems in the game that gobble up my time like langoliers.

Account Bound Dyes
I would like to enjoy the dye system, but with character bound dyes i find that (for me atleast) it just becomes a big hassel storing all the dyes that i come across that i cannot decide which character to have them on, and it stresses me out that i could possibly apply the dye to the wrong character and regret it later, or i could sell the dye then when i start to play an alt a year from now i am hitting myself in the head… “oh man i had that dye and i sold it!”. Also, there is no way in hell i am even going to attempt to collect the ?350? dyes on all 5 characters!

If anyone knows of any kind of petition for account bound dyes going around please let me know

Armor Storage
I have never been much of an armor collector in other games, but in GW2 collecting armor is a HUGE part of later game content / time sink. I would like to thoroughly enjoy this part of the game. Takeing a look at the current state of my bank… I have collected 0 peices of armor and i have exactly 3 open slots in my bank, this just isnt adding up, I know there are 8 different armor sets as well as racial armors and there must be a few other different armor sets that i dont know about and I have 5 characters…

I am not opposed to paying money for bank tabs, and i intend to buy some additional bank tabs for my wife and i as soon as we can afford it, but we dont intend to fill it up with armor skins. We need a better solution for storeing our 50+ armor skins that we will accumulate over the next 5+ years. I was thinking something similar to our collections tab, others have suggested some kind of armor gallery in our home instance, i wouldnt mind either idea.

I feel that this is another case of a fun system that has been put into the game that is either an annoyance or a hinderance to actually enjoy it to its full potential. And armor skins are a much bigger aspect of the game than dyes. Please do something to make these system more accesible and enjoyable for the casual player.

Guild Info and Calendar
Simple as this, I would like somewhere that i can post our guild website as well as our guild Mumble info that is accesible to all members that isnt the message of the day. Also i would like somewhere to schedule guild events that is also accesible to all members, this can be the message of the day as long as i have a spot to put the website and mumble info.

I am currently trying to plan guild events on a forum on our website. Needless to say, the idea hasnt exactly “taken off”. As it turns out, players would rather be enjoying themselves in game than reading on some guild website forum, go figure…

There, I have made my suggestions in the suggestions forum

Dont mean to hi-jack your thread, but your guild is super similar to what we are trying to do at Ascension of Heroes, if they add alliances we should hook up

Also, I see your guild isnt on the Dragonbrand community site yet, you should check it out. http://www.dragonbrand-gw2.com/

Ascension of Heroes (AoH) [US][PVX][Dragonbrand]

Ascension of Heroes (AoH) is a new casual PVX guild on Dragonbrand server, where the philosophy is to have fun with friends! We intend to enjoy every aspect of GW2 but our main goal is to build a fun and friendly community that enjoys the game together. We have already brought in a lot of really good people and are already building the strong base that we need to fullfill our goal for everyone to have FUN when they are active with our guild!

We are a small laid back guild, but we have a lot of good, friendly, helpful players that are all dedicated to our philosophy of developing a friendly, respectful and most of all FUN culture within our guild! We are working hard to bring in players that want to build upon the culture we have in place, we are not recruiting for #s, therefore, we are few, but slowly we continue to grow, and each of our members is active and helpful. We are somewhere in between “Family Friendly” and “Adults Only”. We also have a mumble server and guild stash.

We always intend to stay a “casual” guild but we definantly have a hardcore contingent. We intend to form several groups for taking down explorable mode dungeons. We would also like to gather the guild to wreak some havoc in WvWvW on occasion as well. The few spvp players we have keep asking to bring in more spvp players. You can find hardcore play in any area of the game while still enjoying the casual atmosphere, where real life comes first and there are no schedules (unless we schedule a fun voluntary guild activity) or play time requirements

We chose the name Ascension of Heroes because we felt that it fit GW2 very well. Every character in the game starts as a normal person that has to raise thier skills and bravery to heroic levels in order to defeat the elder dragons that plague Tyria, also I think that “A-OH!” would be a sweet battle cry… even if im the only one thats screaming it!

If you are looking for a good community to enjoy the game with and you feel like our philosophy is a good fit for you please come check us out at
