• You lost a tower your guild claimed, and that is T3, outside your spawn and reinforced from Garrison. To take it ANY server would need more than 10 people, so that happens.
• You spent the majority of the week camped on an arrow cart on the rock at that tower (we know this because JDGE deliberately went there several times just to mesmer-yank you off that rock and kill you). It became a running joke, The Oddy Necro, master of the arrowcart.
• You have people in that tower, fighting, we can see them on the mini-map. You have no commander on. You have the map-shout out, and you have plenty of options to save that tower.
• But it’s easier to take a screenshot, stand on a cliff and proclaim it pointless.

You’ve spent time in this thread moaning about being killed as a solo player (which you ninja edited as a thankyou to one guild for not killing you).

• Red is dead.
• You’re red.
• You were also dead.
• We’re simple folks, we stay true to the mantra.
• A reiteration: Red. Is. Dead.
• If you’re on your own you’re either; a scout, on the way to join the pack, moving to your guild or running supps for repairs/building. Non of those are reasons to not nuke you on sight.
• If you want to dual, there’s a place for that. If you want to roam, roam, just accept that you’ll die. We do the same stuff, it’s fine.
• Bullet points.

Also, nice additional ninja-edit on the smiley, wouldn’t want people to think you were moaning.

• I don’t think I’ve ever moaned.
• Some things are said in the heat of the moment, and I don’t think trying to stay positive (something I invite you to do, as well) and backtracking out of them should be something to be admonished over.
• I’ve defended my guild and my world with ferocity since I’ve started playing and I don’t think you’re in a position to say otherwise.
• I don’t like hypocrisy.
• I do like bullet points.

Oh, I did have some lovely 1v1s tonight near the MS border. That was awesome.

Now, now, Argwulf, the man has a point; but I’ll get to that later on. And you cay say it, multivira, there were blobs. For most of the night (up till now, anyway), we were split into 3 groups, 2 miniblobs of about 30, and one group that kept watch of our towers and keeps, as well as scout.

Why? Pugs. We had barely (if any!) guild groups on AGBL tonight. You were faced with about 70-80 people who really had no other recourse than to follow the few commanders.

WvW doesn’t just belong to guilds (and I thoroughly support the segmenting of it, as discussed earlier) and you’re bound to have nights where the “riff-raff” will band together. I don’t feel like we owe an explanation because nobody actually did anything wrong. I’m part of that crowd, and while I usually stick to defense and solo roaming, I stand by them.
Now, comparing us to AM or RS is unfair, but I understand why you’d be mad. For the record, those two band together guild groups; you were facing simple pugs tonight.

In other words, you, JDGE, MM, ONS and the others, were in the wrong map tonight.
And you were fighting a different war.

From my short and limited experience, the AG you knew is gone. And personally, having read the posts in this forum and knowing your expectations, I was very sad that we couldn’t give you the fights you came looking for. And some of us did try.
Having said that: The fact I was 10-20v1’d by several of your groups tonight, for no real reason other than to get the kill, helps ease my sorrow somewhat.

Life, as they say, is not always fair. You were simply at the wrong place, at the wrong time tonight :P

I hope the remainder of the week improves for all of us.

Were you that necro from [ODDY] stalking/bumping into us several times tonight? I don’t think us pirates really participated in any of the big fights. We did check out the orange swords between bay and garrison once (was a 26-way fight involving INT, CNTK, IC, ONS, Mya, TUP, and tons of AG PUGs) and then we just went running rampant around the BL cause the lag was quite bad during the massive fight.

You just happened to be where I normally scout, the northern towers and camps.

Hope my deaths were at least mildly entertaining

I think tonight was just a case of ‘everybody in the same place, at the same time’.
From MS, we had Mya, NXM and NO; from Gand, we had TFV, YARR, INT and IC; and I’m sure there were others I’ve missed.
All of them on our tiny little map, and we were not equally committed to the same place and at the same time

I don’t think there was any intention to blob, and in fact, I don’t think blobbing was done; It was all very separate, organized stuff… But from our side of the hill, there were a LOT of red names

Regardless, we still had decent fighting going on, and there remains a different, friendlier, vibe in this matchup. I hope the rest of the week goes as well as it started

Awesome fights last night on AGBL!
Both worlds gave our defensive units a hell of a time – keeps and towers changing hands more times than I could count, awesome fights in supply camps (!) and all and all, a great night.
Props to Mya, QQ, YaK, JDGE, Dius and AG’s own TUP for ruling the field with force

Hell of a fight earlier tonight in AGBL’s Hills. DL and RS staring at eachother and all of us Gladians holed up in the lord room
We hung on for dear life and went down like heroes. That was a truly awesome fight.
Overall, very impressive defensive play in AGBL, as it should be.

Fantastic defensive play last night in AGBL. Like Argwulf, I also had a lot of fun
Aggresive defence of Titan and its dollys, despite numerous takeover attempts by both DL and RS on both sides, awesome fights at Garri’s watergate and Hills, and overall great fights at the towers.

Also, kudos to DL who fought to the last man at Garri’s water gate. Showed spirit.

Hellish fighting tonight in AGBL. The zergs were azergin’ and blobs were ablobbin’; but we hunkered down and survived.
AG always survives.
