Disappointed a bit too, felt like I was re-chewing old gum.

Hopefully the last dungeon is not just an amalgamation of the first 5.

Tried it again with some guildies, again first machine was acting up…we had to really hit it fast with the tar before it degraded. In each case, one player started fighting mobs and filling the machine before all players were zoned in, not sure if that matters.

Perhaps this should be in the bug forums. Thanks for the replies all.

My party left and rejoined, with a 5th that came along.

No idea why, just worked when we came back with the progress saved from before.

Tried multiples things, keep resetting.

Machine 1. Even if we are clearing the mobs.

So machine 1 keeps resetting when we are collecting tar. Machine 2 is fine, even if we neglect it.

Anyone else noticing this? Not sure if it matters, we were only 4.

its pretty simple:

hidden thief and assassin signet are triggering auto-attack of your skill 1 when you are in range of the skill 1. Means if you use the skills in the 130 range, while you have autoattack active, it will kick you out of stealth instantly or use the signet buff instantly.

out of the same reason hidden thief and assassin signet are not working with range weapons with auto attack.

Its not broken, its always been like that. You may just haven’t payed attention to it. If you want to steal&stealth while in mele combat, it will kick you out if you have auto attack activated. It will not, if you deactivate autoattack.

I have a feeling if this effected your spec you might be more up in arms about this

As a bleed/steal speeced P/D theif, I thought this would be a cool way to stack our short bleeds(sneak attack). This is a master trait and should work for more then just melee.

I just dinged 60 and I am starting to see more of the intricacies with Mesmer. I did notice early on that the 5point talent in illusions is a must have. Can’t wait till 80.

I just realized that Desolation is a EU server. My friends and I are in Montreal which is EST time zone. I imagine you guys wont be on at the same time as us, very often. I should’ve checked the server out before I posted :/

I would like to say it is awesome to hear other players mentioning styles of play such as disruption, hit and run tactics, defending vistas for no specific in game goal. This is what my friends and I love to do.

We are the type of players that measure PvP success in how much we annoyed the other team. We aim to frustrate the enemy into making mistakes. We are by far not the fastest or “best” geared players in most games we play. We are more likely to brag about something like “dude, those guys are pissed…they chased me around the map for 10 minutes” We feel if we have 2-3 people chasing one of us, abandoning whatever objective they were defending or about to assault then we have done our part.

We love talking about strats and sometimes start huge email chains just throwing ideas back and forth. We aim for mobility, evasion and stealth. We like scouting and relaying info to whoever is listening.

I shelved my Warrior for a Mesmer just because of the portal ability. The amount of possibilities and game changing effects it can have really drew me to the point where I was spamming my friends with ideas on how to abuse it. It even crept into real life and I started walking around my appartment thinking, kitten I could confuse the hell out of my cat with this spell. Full blown obsession hit me when I started telling my wife about all these cool mesmer abilities. She said “thats nice, how come your mesmer isn’t wearing any clothes”

Anyhow, slightly off topic.

All that to say, a couple of friends looking for a guild to join, with similar ideas and JUDGE sounds like it could be a good fit. Currently we are on IoJ but feel no server loyalty and willing to xfer to hang out with some PvPers!
