How in the world do you expect anyone to answer this?
If anyone can answer this, please tell me if Apple or Google stock will be worth twice as much in February, and/or if they’ll split, so I know to buy now.
For the love of reason and logic, think before you ask.
Oh, and no, they’ll start plummeting next Thursday at 1:30 pm EST, and be worth 1 gold per thousand gems by Tuesday. I know this… I do!
While your reasoning is sound Grassrab, and I sort of assumed it would work that way, I wouldn’t call this question answered without some input from ANet, or some link to an official response on this.
No offense, but without some official response, I’m risking months of work just because “it makes sense”. We all know that “what makes sense” doesn’t always happen.
Appreciate the input folks. Still hope to hear from the powers that be.
Only question I have: WHY?
HotW was way too easy and not nearly tedious enough.
Oh and buff the kitten chest loot. Receiving 3 blues over and over again is NOT fun.
Yeah, that sounds about right. Add tedium, no increased rewards, don’t mention why, state that nothing’s changed.
I’m confused……
Still hoping for a word on this. Anyone heard anything?
The fundamental issue here is that everyone can make anything easier. It takes 20 minutes to max out a crafting profession. The fact that you can craft something means nothing, because anyone who wants it can research how it’s done and craft it themselves for essentially minimum price.
The only buy orders out there are for less than the item is worth, in case people got that item from drops, or crafted too many accidentally and are looking to unload and recoup some cost.
The only things that one can craft that others might not be able to are off of extremely rare crafting recipes that come from dungeons, and for those, the production/sale difference is astronomical (70s to craft, sells for 15g). Quite a few items like that.
My guildies and I noticed something interesting today: You used to be able to preview any linked items in chat windows via right-click + preview, unless they were cultural armor pieces for a different race. Understandable why you wouldn’t be able to see those, and it all made sense. Tonight though, we noticed that you now cannot preview armor that your character cannot equip (such as heavy armor on rangers, etc).
Why make this change? Who was it hurting? We’re talking preview here. I have a medium-armor human, what if I want to see how heavy looks? Why not? What was wrong with preview-ing everything, and why limit it like this? Is this a bug or intended?
Has anyone else done Path 1 to HoTW?
Nothing was even wrong with this path…The only things we did in HoTW is close off map exploit possibilities in this recent patch. We didn’t touch any of the bosses to my knowledge.
Actually, you did 2 things to HoTW, that I noticed right away. In the Zealot path, the Jelly fish before the boss used to be veterans. Still a tough fight, but understandable, seeing as underwater combat is clunky, and the camera is all over the place over there, and there’s a lot in tight quarters. You made them silvers, that hit a lot harder and poison like crazy. Still not overly hard, just a complete unnecessary waste of time.
Also, Stormbringer now always spawns 3 silvers simultaneously, and on my last run, did so on a timer, we ended with 6 of them pretty quick. It used to be that he spawned nothing if you killed the non-silvers in front of him as you approach. AOE fest, then boss, no adds. Now he spawns adds every time.
Those are just 2 changes that I noticed right away.
Only question I have: WHY?
Legendary weapons all come with a sigil. I understand that trasmuting the weapon for different stats will interfere with its legendary status, and it would not allow the weapon to be “ascended” whenever that happens.
I wonder, does anyone know if ArenaNet specified whether replacing the sigil will have a similar effect? We can all speculate whether it will or not, but unless ANet said yes or no, it’s all worthless speculation.
I have found no official word on this. Please let me know if anyone is aware of any posts, new or old, where they clarify if that would be ok.
Also, if an ANet representative would clarify this, it would be greatly appreciated.
