Advice on which ascended amulet to get

Drop the Rifle out of PvP. Longbow does more DPS in PvE, and has skills much better suited to it.

And get the Zerk Amulet. If you want ones that offer toughness, go for two Knight’s Ascended accessories/earrings.

For PvE, drop the Rifle. Longbow is better for PvE, and does more DPS.

Use GS/Axe+Mace.

Full zerk armor/weapons/trinkets.

Ruby orbs on the armor. Sup Sigil of Accuracy on GS. Sup Sigil of Battle on Axe. Sup Sigil of Perception on Mace.

Trait for 20/25/0/10/15. For the actual traits, put them in in this order. V, IX, V, X, VI, V.

You need to be constantly swapping you weapons to maximize the benefits of your traits. GS will be your primary. Spam, that 100B. Swap for the mace 5, mace 4, axe 3, auto until you can swap again. Rinse. Repeat.

Enjoy your 10G an hour.

Critical damage vs Critical Chance

The two stats are intertwined. It doesn’t matter if you have hit crit chance if you have low crit damage, and vice versa. At the moment, I recommend you going with a balanced build. Use 3 zerk pieces (shoulders, gauntlets, boots) and 3 knight pieces (helm, chest, legs). Put ruby orbs in the zerk pieces, and emerald orbs in the 3 knight pieces to complement the balance, or just go full ruby orbs if you want to maximize dps. Sadly, a lot of people overlook the orbs in their usage. Fact is, they’re better than runes, and each orb provides 3 stat increases, as opposed to a single stat/buff from a rune. For weapons, go full zerker. For trinkets, for the time being, use emerald orichalcum stuff, with exquisite ruby jewels in them. For the back piece, you can either go for a guild defender backpack with an exquisite ruby jewel put in it by you, or an assassin backpack with the same thing. In the long run, shoot for an ascended amulet, two ascended zerk rings, and two ascended knight earrings/accessories.

For traits, your choice. Either 10/25/25/10/0 if you want mega survivability while sacrificing some DPS, or 20/30/0/0/20 if you want to maximize DPS, or even 20/20/0/10/20 for high DPS and some more survivability/more options, and you could even go 20/25/0/10/15 for higher DPS while still having. The trait possibilities vary greatly. Up to you to decide what you want.

Honestly, and this is entirely my opinion, but I base it on 500+ hours experience as a Warrior, full zerk is only really good when you’re doing dungeon farming (CoF p1, etc), and the like. The rest of the time, you’re much more useful as a balance Warrior with Zerk/Knight. You have great survivability and great DPS.

Ultimate Warrior build in my opinion.

A little advice?

If you’re going for a Warrior healing shout/support build, you’re better of going full Soldier’s. Knight’s is best used in combination with Berserker’s gear to take advantage of the precision it gives you. I know you aren’t using it, but just puting it out there, full Knight’s gear/trinkets gives you great Crit %, but that’s useless if you don’t have the Crit Dmg to back that up. I run a balanced build with three Zerk pieces (shoulders/gauntlets/boots) and three Knight’s pieces (helmet/chest/legs). I use Zerk weapons. My trinkets include an ascended Zerk amulet, a Soldier’s guild backpack with an exquisite ruby jewel, and exquisite orichalcum knight’s for the other four; two of which have exquisite ruby jewels instead of emeralds.

I love the build because it’s versatile when I need it to be. If I want mega survivability in WvW, etc., I can spec my traits and give myself around 3200 armor. If I want mega DPS (not as high as a full Zerker obviously), I can spec my traits and, with the proper skills, get upwards to 90% crit chance and dmg.

In my opinion, it’s the ultimate Warrior build.

I don’t know about you guys, but I get pretty OCD when a nice weapon I like doesn’t match the dye scheme I like. Wouldn’t it be nice if you could dye your weapon too? Have the pommel match your armor, etc.

Just wanna get some opinions on this. I’m level 80 and have been a Berserker build since pretty much day 1 and I feel like changing it up. What do you guys recommend? Also, from your experience, what is the most effective for both PVE and PVP (besides Berserker of course, aheh).
