I have rolled a guardian and I am curious as to what weapon sets/utility skills/ and traits are best for a leveling PvE build. I have played the first few levels thus far and so far I am enjoying the idea of having a build that would give me support through my combat actions and not specifically through heals and buffs… I would like to find a build that is interactive in this way..
if you have any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.

Starting up a guardian and my question is just as its presented in the title… What should my weapon choices and utility skill options be for leveling through tyria?
Currently level 16, using Axe/mace leveling build. I have greatsword as my alternate but rarely use it entirely…What situation should I be using it for, or should I be switching which alternate weapon im using to a long range type like longbow or rifle?
Which utility skills should I be using while leveling, Im currently using signet might and for great justice a majority of the time, my third and fourth slots are not open yet..
I have currently decided to go with axe/mace as my primary weaponry during leveling. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I should use to weapon swap? In other words what weapon choice would give me the most benefit of something I may be lacking in the Axe/mace combination.
Also, what traits should I be taking with the Axe/mace combo for prime leveling?
Thanks in advance.
Which utility skills are best to invest skill points in while leveling and venturing through tyria?
I am a newcomer to GW2 but not to MMOs. I am in a pickle regarding which profession to choose to begin my journey through Tyria. I appreciate any and all responses given to the following information.
I typically enjoy playing melee roles, however there have been exceptions in the past. My main reason for deciding against spellcaster types is I do not enjoy waiting for a lot of casting times during combat. I also don’t like that most spellcaster archetypes are very squishy. So that having been said I am also looking for survivability in a profession.
Mobility is a must. I like to have flexibility with movement during combat as well. In the past this has always been a benefit when playing PvP.
I am a big fan of PvE play as well so I will be looking for a character that a group of people would enjoy including into their ranks to go dungeoning, questing, etc…
Lastly, damage dealing is also important. I don’t ever have to be the best dmg dealer in the party, but I like to add a reasonable contribution…
