This isn’t a hardware issue.

It most likely is. Bad button contacts can cause the inputs to twitch, which rapidly spams mouse up and down events. Razer for example uses cheap components, so this is a common problem, though simple to fix by cleaning the contacts. You might not notice this in some games simply due to how they’re programmed, like using delayed input for example.

If you want to find out, setup a logger to record your mouse input.

Haven’t thought of that. Atm the game is unplayable with this issue. Will look into it.

This isn’t a hardware issue. My mouse works perfectly outside of the game, as well as in other games, including games with the same type of camera movement. GW2 is the only game, ever, that I’ve encountered this problem. And it’s been going on for years.

I have a similar problem. It’s not my character that speaks, but I hear random pc shouts from various classes, races and both genders when there is no one else nearby.

Gets a bit annoying to hear “Save yourself!” “I could use some help over here!” “Turret active!” etc back to back in different voices.

I’ve assumed that I hear other player characters further away than I should, but as they’re not even within visual range I can’t be sure.

EDIT: Just noticed that it actually is coming from my character. So I guess I have exactly the same problem.

3. Frustrated and on the verge of quitting the game for good.

Right now the child in me wants to take my retail copy, break it in half and burn it.
So I’m going to take a few days to let this whole thing blow over and my emotions cool off a bit. Then I’m going to see where I stand towards this game.

I have a similar problem as well after the patch. The “<” key next to the left shift key has become “§” (the key left of 1) in the control options. The keys work fine in chat but they act as the same key in the control options. I now swap weapons whenever I want to heal.
