Someone suggested already that to make them ingame currencies no slot at all in your inventory but it should be on different ui or tab because ingame currencies right now are filled with large varieties
Make queenbee, nightfury and poly black/yellow/green or “effects”, just like dyes, you buy them like dyes if you use it it will become account-bound. You dont have to choose between a shoulder piece in exchange for an effect or you should not lose a stats in exchange for an effect. Skins, effects and trinket stats and three different things you dont have to choose between an effect over a skin or stats. Anet fix this issue you all know we buy those effects for their “effects” nothing more, we can craft our own ascended gears and items afterall if we want to, thanks.
Dont be a tool, its not that simple effect and skin are two different thing anet put bats effect for the exchange of a “shoulder skin” because they dont have currently a proper slot for it right now. You dont have to choose between an effect or a skin anet should come up with this for a better solution.
I’m not saying 6 slots or a slot for every effect, I think at the very least they could give us an “Armor Effect” slot and a “Trinket Effect” slot. You should be able to use these effects with endgame ascended trinkets and not just exotic and you should be able to keep your shoulders and not have to get rid of equipment just to have this. I love my Arah light armor set and I will do without nightfury (the effect I fell in love with) if it means losing my gear.
But the bats swarming around you is the effect you get from wearing those shoulder guards… They are essentially the “shoulders”… just like how the scarf isn’t quite on your shoulders anymore…. I’m sick of people complaining about these things when their argument makes 0 sense…
Want bats flying around, wear the bat shoulders. Want CoF shoulders? Wear CoF shoulders…
Want the black coloring effect? Wear an exotic trinket with that effect on it, it’s that simple.
No need to start adding a bunch of aura slots and what not, it’s simple as is and works as is no need to go screwing with it.
If you want the best end game gear/stats on, then wear it, don’t wear the bee or refractors. They are aesthetic gear, want aesthetics wear aesthetics, want top stats, wear top stat gear then.
If you don’t want that then don’t use them…..
People dont get it, we buy nightfury, queenbee and poly for their effects. The real problem here is anet dont have a slot for the current effects their making right now. Its not that we are asking seperate slots for effects like OP described it but those effects have simply no room for our current equipments UI so they are putting those effects and binding them with trinkets then armor. Korimor your point has no sense that if you want nightfury effect you equip nightfury and if you like your shoulder skins then equip it “without the effect”. You see nighfury isnt a shoulder its an effect you just call it a shoulder because its a shoulder slot but its not , anet just dont have a proper effect slot for it currently. Anet can make all the effects they want and bind them into armor slots “without” the armor (invisible) as many as they want and it would look ridiculous if you have to buy those effects with your toon being naked. What we need is an effect without losing your ascended gear or armor skin. Learn the real difference of effect and skin Koromir. My suggestion is make the effects like dyes, you buy it like a dye and apply it and it will get accountbound wether you do it on weapons, armor, trinkets or anet would come up to a better idea then we dont have to lose a “skin” for the sake of an “effect”. And to the Anet employee I asked about this issue that replied like Korimor “its a shoulder piece” …do you get it now?
Salvaging rare items shouldn’t give you a confirmation prompt. I always farm on PvE after long hours of farming I get too many rares and salvaging them takes extra time because of this pop up. At least set an option in Option Tab menu if you want this prompt or completely remove it. Rare items aren’t that important to give these confirmation tabs, instead make legendaries and other valuable items sold in TP with gems undestroyable, because why would you destroy legendaries like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_COSurLOkO8 (yep that was me in the first 4 months of the game release lol when I decided to quit the game years ago)
Its basically the same thing elites and new map are all the same just different look and effects but the same, lots of bugs they wont fix like nightfury the game crashes more after the expansion. I dont know why im still playing because my main warrior is the weakest spec and all the things i like are buggy. I hope they make gw3 now and enough with expansions that are buggy anyway with a costs of slight changes of the game that focuses them gettig big money
So many posts about nightfury being bugged, the effects disappear when you wp and when you fight with zerg the clusters of skill effects cancels the nightfury effects that you have to re equip it to make it appear again. My point is they cant even fix it and they dont even want it to be usable with outfit why would they do that. Its a cost of a legendary but they dont care about it anymore. Nightfury isnt worth it.
Or………….. Let people farm it for you while you grow your investments …..play smart enjoy the game without worrying to get gold or to grind hours or days or months just to buy these things you want instead you go and play wvw, pvp, achievements etc. Gaming is much better while you dont have to worry about grinding to get ingame currencies
I have played like dozens of mmorpg before, like RisingForce only, Ragnarok, MU etc. but my favorite so far is this game because now i have the time to play unlike before and my favorite weapon was a SPEAR, (lance spear/ trident) with all the other mmorpg game that i have played. Spear legendaries always look majestic as f on land. but in this game if youre in water its either your chasing enemy or getting a short cut or doing guildmission which pretty much not everyone is doing alot. Please make spear/trident weapon usable on land it would be cool.
Since i got the nighfury shoulder gear and as a heavy class and anet refuses to make nighfury’s effect with outfits, guild breastplate is the only armor that looks good without a shoulder piece armor. I know its kind of sad that a piece of armor you buy it because of its effect costs as much as legendaries (almost) while queenbee and poly black/yellow/green are okay with outfits, doesnt allow you to show it’s effect with outfit and no shoulder piece, I asked one of anet employee that was playing yesterday and she just said ‘’its a shoulder piece, not the same with queenbee’’. I know but people who buy it are buying only because of its effect, and nope its not a shoulder piece because there is no piece of an armor its an effect anet decided to make it usable for shoulder slot. And currently its buggy, if you teleport to a map or spamming skills/getting spammed with enemy skills removes its bats effect that you have to re check it so that it will show you the bats again
outfits with capes but I’m pretty sure anet will find a way to somehow fix clipping issues it will worth it. I will pay 4,000 gems for it or grind for 100hours for it if I must
I am not a bird, butterfly, a bug, hiker/traveller or a cosplayer. I AM A WARRIOR, A KING! I need my cape to go with my glorious metallic armor art piece for killing. I slaughter countless of invaders who tries to kill me and threaten my people in the mists and my City. (wvw/pvp/pve). Stomp them, humiliate them, I loot them after I kill them in front of their families and allies so they can witness my fury. I do not need butterfly wings by doing what I needed to do to save my people and Tyria. what I need is my cape to show my dominance my greatness. Bring back the capes, and give it to me. Give it to men who are just like me in the battlefield doing the same thing, keeping Tyria safe and great. not all of us are little girls.
