You can do the guardian symbol thing with anything, the bigger the group the better. Watch as guardians batter down WvW gates without any siege equipment :P

It’s not just a gross damage buff. They are literally melting in a quarter of the time they would normally take. It’s like they aren’t scaled properly at all. After the specialization update it wasn’t too bad, the most recent scaling change made everything totally wonky afterward.

Weee! More broken content implemented! Watched your video. Sorry to say but you didn’t really touch on anything different than your previous posts and nothing shown in the video honestly needed a video to discuss it. Nowhere did you actually show us the comparison between the characters. It’s you running around on your 80 hitting some enemies and repeating yourself.

I liked being able to solo low-level champs, it was fun. Now that is an impossibility. More player agency stripped in the name of “progress.” The more of this release I get to experience the more green-grey of the rotten parts is visible and the stench overwhelming. The only safe place is Silverwastes any more. They didn’t seem to break that zone. Everywhere else is trash now. WvW is a huge zerg joke, guardian teams breaking down gates without siege equipment. Story dungeons are full of poorly scaled enemies. Purchasing higher level equipment is a necessity to maintain strength in the same zone you’re in, fighting exactly the same enemies. Literally the most botched update I’ve ever seen.

That’s right. If you stand in one zone, with a low level character, you will get weaker as you level over that area. If you don’t gather enough hero points to level your skills you must buy new equipment or the enemies will become stronger than you. Literally the downscaling makes it so a player must continually buy new gear or become irrelevant in the same level area they already leveled in. It’s nonsensical.

Ya know if you guys would put even 1/4 of the energy into fighting Teq that you do posting on the forums you’d probably beat him no problem….

Why are you here instead of winning all the things, bro?

If anyone has been in World vs. World lately and attacked any of the NPCs they’d notice that they are ridiculously weak to the point of irrelevancy. I guess this might go in-line with the gear tweaks but something is clearly not right here.

Coupled with the other serious changes, it feels like every old part of this game has had all its bones re-arranged into stupid, awkward positions. It’s really disheartening to see.

The primary flaw here is that if I don’t upgrade my gear and I gain levels I get weaker against the exact same enemies. That’s really, really really really stupid and indefensible from any perspective.

There’s bugs and issues with the world bosses. Someone earlier mentioned that people AFK at max range and can’t get hit by waves. Sounds to me like they just need to make the wave hit in a wider radius. Hitboxes are bugged. There’s no reason an archer shouldn’t be able to critical attack a dragon’s weak spot (Hobbit, anyone?)

Boss is too sketchy to waste time on, regardless of your skill level. You can’t count on the public and elitists are too toxic. It’s not a thing that should be a public event if the level of skill required for every player is too high. Not reliable and not worth the effort.

Maybe if the hit boxes get fixed everything will be hunky-dory. We’ll see…

As for dungeons, it’s likely there’s some areas where condition pulses on burns and bleeds need to be adjusted.

Also, that new guardian elite is stupidly broken. How is “Retreat!” on a 40 sec cooldown while OMG superspeed, resistance elite is on a 30 sec CD? And give me back Anti-toxin spray! With people taking mega stacks of poison now it was perfect.

Wow…. all this sounds like when Teq first had its upgrade and no one could beat it for a while. Then players got used to what needed to be done when, and it started being beaten. I’m not a regular Teqqie (did I just coin a phrase?) but is it ALWAYS failing now, or are some able to beat it?

Edited to say I see Immortal.3647’s post above.

To clarify Teq needed to be nerfed twice to be doable by the masses the last time they changed it.

Don’t know HOW MANY TIMES this needs to be REPEATED. Every jerk who says “Everyone just got over it, it was easy” totally ignores the changes that were made to make it an enjoyable fight for everyone, not just elitist jerks.

Edit: I remember the threads, dozens of elitist kittens coming out to whinge that they were losing their exclusive content.

When in 2013 Tequatl was revamped casuals couldn’t kill it.From mid 2014 to now casuals learned how to kill it.The same will happen now.For a while casualls will not be able to kill him until they are tought how to do it.In a month or two you will have it on farm again.

Tired of this BS misinformation. After the Tequatl Rising release the boss was far too difficult for nearly all players. They applied the atomic nerf to it. So all this talk of adapting strategy is complete misdirection when you neglect to mention how much the complaints of casual players made the whole thing easier. All that adaptation was built on the foundation of “qq’ing” about relevant player interests and enjoyment. Mentioning one without the other is either ignorant or deceptive.

What is it about “Casual Gaming Experience” that you don’t get?

What is about the other 22 bosses that you don’t get?

Funny, that count was 23 bosses. So I’m supposed to accept less and be happy about it? Get real.

Here is video that Tequatl is not impossible after the patch as people say….

Here is a naked run:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_fzjxAusNJk

No one said it was impossible. There’s literally dozens of posts of people saying they successfully completed it. What most people are saying is that what was typically a relatively easygoing experience suddenly turned into a huge banal chore filled with raging and flaming. “Get with a group. Join a guild. Get organized.”

What is it about “Casual Gaming Experience” that you don’t get? I don’t want to schedule my life around guild events. What was a casual experience is no longer casual. The casual players who WERE enjoying this content ARE NO LONGER. This is not acceptable. Your arguments do not change that content that was open and relatively organized is being gated toward large, non-casual, organized groups. Sorry. I don’t have time or inclination to join your guild. I don’t want to join your teamspeak. I want to watch a fight and learn how it works by observation and simple instruction. Like pretty much 80% of the game population wants. I want to be rewarded for my time without some ridiculous margin of error that wastes my time. As Tequatl is now, it’s a stupid gamble that I won’t participate in. Might as well blow all my money salvaging blues from the marketplace. It’s far more rewarding, far less rage-inducing and about as fun as waiting 30 mins to prepare for a fight I might not get rewarded for.

I would like to point out that Tequatl’s defense was insane tonight, again. I should not be hitting 400-600’s as a Valkyrie ranger with longbow. I could do 4x that before the patch.

You can’t use ranged weapons any more. You can’t target the weak spot you need to attack on Tequatl so all directly targeted ranged weapons are useless in this fight and will make your group fail. Pretty friggin’ stupid, frankly.

After the class changes I know for a fact none of my characters were doing double DPS. Doubling all world boss health was just bad math and obviously reactionary from the 1 or 2 developers who decided to play their game. “Wow! Way too easy! Let’s fix this. HPx2 And we’re done. Time to cash my paycheck and go to the bar”

Triple Trouble is a terrible boss. Now Tequatl is a terrible boss. I don’t want to log on to GW2 to get horribly angry at the game and other players. This isn’t fun or casual any more. Getting in to the map 30 mins early to do prep with other players only to fail over and over is incredibly frustrating. I guess I could “get gud” or whatever the clownshoes earlier in the thread said. Or I’ll just do something else, or simply not play the game at all. There was literally no good reason to do Triple Trouble. Now there’s no reason to do Tequatl, either. Too frustrating, too random, not enough reward.

I swear all the veteran enemies are much tougher now that they take 5 mins to kill if you’re not full DPS build. Something, something gear variety being viable now but it only looks as if berserker gear is the only way to go… still.

Gonna say right now. If ANet doesn’t fix this inane BS, I’m definitely not ordering their expansion. Definitely have no interest in purchasing more character slots either.
