This is dumbest **** I ever heard. I hope this is some april fool’s joke. BTW my fish died from being overfed once so having cooking in GW2 is really insensitive. Bad move on devs #ruinedthegame.

like Donari said – on the Giant Wurm, the three different heads have completely different mechanics. The head I was at involved carrying powder kegs to the base of the head, he needs to eat (20) of them at one time in order to break his skin, at that point you can damage him

New Patch - Expected or Dissapointment??

I simply expected for something out of the ordinary beside Gem store stuff, 1 patch that took 2 months and brought more of the same of those patches that last 2 weeks, and nothing for WvW? please, enough is enough.

we’ve been waiting this long for the coming FOUR patches, this is the FIRST of those FOUR. So yeah, this is the build up, the prelude, the biggest stuff probably won’t happen until the fourth patch.

I vote Titles be more noticeable.

I definitely agree with this, they should tack onto the end/beginning of your name (like in WoW and other games) I never even notice titles on other players!

Karma instead of experience

we still need skill points, they are used as currency in some situations. I don’t support this idea, also considering the fact that karma rewards are few and far between, and they just HUGELY buffed the amount of karma you get from dailies/jugs of karma/monthlies

Let me stress that this is just a simple ranting and raving about what I have wanted and dreamed about while playing GW2. I want healthy discussion!

1. Mounts.
Let’s get this out of the way because I know half the GW1 fanboys are going to throw a fit. I WANT MOUNTS! And let me stress that GW2 could do mounts RIGHT. I want to explore the world and waypoint hopping is a terrible way to do that. I want to ride on the back of a glorious steed, or perhaps a tamed Charr :P Guild Wars is all about the looks, the collecting, the exploring! Let’s adjust the waypoint system and add mounts.

2. Combat.
I think that the removal of the holy trinity is an acceptable game decision and has a lot of potential. However, it hasn’t been done right. Healing, tanking and DPS have all been mushed together into a terribly un-refined system. Allow me to rant a bit…there is no sense of extra effort when fighting a big boss, or a small, simple skelk. I still always press 1,2,4,3,2,2, oh he hit me hard? 6. Forgive me for referencing WoW, but they give you a sense of increased effort for increased challenge. I use my usual sloppy rotation on simple mobs, and use a whole wealth of extra cooldowns, refined rotations, buffs, self heals, etc…on harder mobs. This is what GW2 needs, a sense of increased effort! How to fix it? Double the skill set from 10 skills, to 20. Have 5 dedicated healing skills, all with different aspects…condition cures, slow long heals, small, quick heals, heal other players. And flesh out the combat, diversify!!! /longrant

3. Hearts/Leveling
Increase experience and money rewards from hearts, (and scale rewards to your level).
This one is simple, the leveling isn’t very fluid, I can 100% any area while only getting 1/2 to 3/4 through it’s required levels…now I know this may be a design choice to encourage more exploration, but I don’t like it. If rewards are increased to 10-15s there will be MUCH more level 80 exploration as it will be a viable “career” choice.

4. Viable “career” choices.
crafting is completely unnecessary, it bears very little to no profit due to the worldwide economy, and the exotics you can craft can just be bought, and are often quickly replaced by “cooler” dungeon gear. Let’s revamp the crafting system and make it more versatile and rewarding. How? Bind-to-account crafting materials for higher leveling crafting to encourage mat gathering, and high level crafting reward gear. Something to be proud of!

5. More uniquely challenging dungeon content.
More health doesn’t mean more challenge! I want bosses with stages, unique aspects, you get what I’m talking about. I know that this exists to some extent, but I want much, much, much more of it.

Now, little disclaimer, I KNOW this is a vanilla game that has only been out for ~2 months, and I have LOVED it so far!!! I’m having a blast, this is simply my wish list for the future, no hard accusations!
Well thats about it, the 5 big dreams I’ve had for Guild Wars 2. Discuss.

Guild Wars 2 is, for many people, their first MMO. And as such I thought I would write up a quick post with tips for how to get the most out of your character (especially in dungeons) because I see a large lack of experience with the player-base and I wanted to help a few of you along.

1. Know how much your healing skill heals for, and at what point you can use it to reach full health. Use that to make sure you don’t over-heal. Don’t forget level scaling.
2. Damaged enemies still do full damage, focus on one target at a time (target calling is a wonderful thing.)
3. Know how to call targets[ctrl+T / ctrl+click], ping on the map [shift+click], and draw on the map[shift+drag].
4. Communicate in dungeons!!!! (and everywhere else) Make small talk, be friendly, talk strategy, it honestly makes or breaks the dungeon experience.
5. Don’t spread yourself out. This applies to skills, traits, and weapon/armor stats. Pick a build and stick with it. (But don’t be afraid to re-spec often to find what you like!)
6. Don’t stand still. Ever. You’d be surprised how much you can avoid by just moving around the enemy/enemies. Stay on your toes!
7. Dodging. Learn it, live it, love it. When in combat, don’t just dodge to move around, use it to avoid attacks. Watch for that glow on the enemy’s weapon and dodge when you see it. Don’t dodge excessively or you’ll have nothing left when a big attack comes!
8. Join a big guild. Don’t forget you can be a member of multiple guilds! I find it helpful to join a large guild with plenty of resources and helpful players, and also join a small guild of close friends.
9. Make friends. I’m not saying you should swap numbers and talk into the wee hours of the night, but the GW2 community is fantastic compared to most online games. At the end of a dungeon, I make it a habit to let everyone know they should keep me in mind if they ever need an extra player for a dungeon, or need help in any other way. Be available! You don’t have to say yes to every invite, but it’s nice to get them! It keeps you from getting bored.
10. Don’t forget about conditions. It isn’t just about flat-out damage. Bleeding, confusion, etc…can cause a LOT of damage.
11. I know that the “holy trinity” is not quite so important in this game, but it still holds meaning. Having 1-2 heavy armor “tank” players, 1-3 medium/light armor damage dealers, and a support/healing player is still one of the best ways to run harder dungeons.
12. You are not a lone hero in dungeons, you want every player up and fighting at their best. Don’t forget to apply boons and remove conditions from allies. Revive allies WHEN YOU CAN! Don’t put yourself in too much danger to save another player. One downed player is better than two.
13. Learn and use combos, as well as learning which skills just work well together. Get the most out of your skill. Stay at range if you do more damage at range.
14. Try out every class! Try getting them to around level 10 atleast, use every weapon. It helps to know which skills are available to which classes! For example, the Mesmer portal can be very helpful in some dungeons.
15. Google is, as always, your friend.

That should be it for now! i’ll add more as time goes on, let me know if wish to add/change anything!
