Tips for Adnul.

Bring the Sylvari’s Boast. Save your water and bluff skills for when he uses Critique. When he does, use one of each, then take a single drink. Or do them in whatever order you choose. That way you are only ‘forced’ to take one drink.

When he uses critique, we cannot bluff. At least I cannot bluff, so it might be another bug for me. Basically when he uses critique, I can only drink, water or omno. If I happened to just drink water before he uses critique, game over. 3 rds of omno that reduces my Hp by more than 6k is simply not survivable.

Adnul is a big intentional joke. Why intentional? It takes 5 min to fix him (even if it’s a completely new code that u never saw in your life and still had to fix).

Be sure i will never even think of touching this minigame when and if i ever achiev to finish the “vs NPC” part. The way they did this “tutorial phase for a future permanent minigame” has made me hate this will all my heart.

Just a repulsive game…and on top of all this even pay 100g for it (permanent thing) ? Go have fun with that anet. Learn to make your game appealing not irritating. Sry but u did a lousy job. Most of us will hate this so much u will see just a handful of ppl play your minigame past the event.

I don’t know why people complain. you want to beat Adnul? All you have to do is watch his behaviour and play, its not really a problem. Took me about 10 times to figure out how hes playing. I take the greater healing signature move (its almost an fullheal).

Yah right smart guy. You seemed to be the smartest player in the whole game to use your brain and play while the rest only uses eyes an fingers. You got lucky and won doesn’t have to come here to brag and insult. I dun supposed even with brain we can beat Adnul who somehow is able to spam his dumb critique move every 2-3 turns, and when he heals, he heals about 35-40% of his health and when we heal, only 15%. When he drinks omno, he reduces by around 8% HP while we reduces by 20%. Simple mathematics tells you it’s almost impossible to win him. Almost. So I you got lucky, thank your lucky star and keep away, IMHO.

Perfectly balanced? I win the Asura. In the first rd I played, same as for the Sylvari. Charr took around 2-3 rds. Massive took around 5rds. Adnul? I can’t even remember how many rds I’d tried.

I have total of 8 chars, 1 for each professions and I login to my thief and received the achievement chest. I was asked to select one of the zenith skins as my reward. Finding the greatsword skin very, very appealing, and wanting to get it for my greatsword wielding warrior, I selected that one only to find out on the spot thakittens SOULBOUND!! Well Done!! Now I cannot pass the skin to my warrior and my thief can’t use a greatsword and it’s basically a white elephant. Now, why must a reward be soulbound, even if its a skin? Why can’t it be just account bound!!??

Frustration is part of it right? Like when Legendary Imbued Shaman one shot half the party and the rest died trying to Rez those down and we have to restart the boss fight? Or the Ice Shardz, or the Arcane-forgotten-his-title in Clifffside or Champion Karka OP barrel roll?

Frustration makes u wanna do it all the more but even if u don’t , so what? It’s a only a game and the actual real person who really care if anyone owns a Legendary, or clear Map Completion, or a certain Achievement, is really themselves and nobody else.

I encourage Vaelic to do it simply bcos I really think is doable and I want him/her to feel the satisfaction of completing it.

And it’s timed, if not u wont be able to keep doing it again to open the chest again, and making changes to existing map will be too huge a change to make that will prolly be not practical.

LOL, clock tower for me was the pits! I can see nothing with all the Norns and charrs in front of me and duly gave up after trying for an hour. Did Wintersday’s in around 20-25mins, granted I’m not a fantastic player with jumping but I still did it! Keep trying Vaelic, it’s not as tough as u thought. Play around with camera angles, mouse control (press right click thru out the jumping) and also, add other players into a party and see hthe route they take if u fell off early and try to learn. Talk to those that completed it alrdy at the waiting area and ask for more tips. You can do it and it’ll be fun when u get another 5 ugly sweaters from the pressies, lol =)

First of all, I must say the title of this thread is very misleading. ArenaNet, as far as I know, has not confirm anything abt the 6th and probably final dragon. Even if you wrote it with open and close inverted commas, it’s still a form of misrepresentation.

Second, why is it that a room with plants and greenery that’s supposed to represent a certain ED has to be linked to the Sylvari? There are prolly a million other fauna lifeforms and need not necessary has anything to do with the Sylvari.

However, it is nice to see you guys discussing abt the ED lore here and the speculations are rather interesting, even if its just speculations. =)

Personally, my fave is the Nightmare Court as their formation is based on an Ideal of being free. Free the laws set by Ventari which I do not wholly believe also. ‘All things have a right to grow’, does anyone truly believe that? I’m not talking abt Eugenics and certainly not preaching genocides but I think that is Tyria, certain races/creatures are too dangerous to be allow to grow, first and foremost the elder dragons. When Cadeyrn created the Nightmare Court, it is bcos he believes that Ventari’s teaching goes against what he think the Sylvari race is capable of and supposed to do, which I neither agree not disagree but at least it seems like a justifiable faction to me. Inquest seems a bit too trying, Bandits and Separatists are just lame, Sons of Svanir and Flame Legion are just too one dimensional and predictable, all abt power and conquering and hegemony and stuffs.

As for which faction pose the most threat, I think both Nightmare Court and Inquest are pretty dangerous, but if force to choose one, I’ll think it’s the Inquest. Bandits/Separatists a threat? You must be kidding. Flame Legion, no matter how immerse and populous, are nothing if you compare them to the elder Dragons. Son of Svanir might fight for the top place but their number doesn’t seems be enough and they probably only have Jormag to ‘aid’ them but if you compare them to Nightmare Court and Inquest, they are still considered to be a ‘localised’ threat. Why do I say so? Well, I am someone who believes Knowledge is Power, and Nightmare Court and Inquest shows they are probably the most knowledgeable ‘Order’ after the Order of Whisper. In Edge of Destiny, Faolain was shown to have quite extended knowledge of the elder dragons, even to the extend of knowing Glint to be the Champion of Kralkatorrik and that Kralkatorrik is awakening. She knows and with that I assume the Nightmare Courtiers knew also, but she didn’t seem afraid of Kralkatorrik. She also knew that Glint is ‘good’, not evil and even tried trick Destiny’s Edge to kill Glint. To her, it’s seems Glint, Destiny’s Edge, and even Kralkatorrik seems like pawns in her game. It’s kinda hint that she knows more abt the Movement of the World than she lets up and that Nightmare Court might have other ambitions other than wanting to ‘free’ the Sylvaris. As why I chose Inquest, it’s simple. Every mystical weapons, items, orbs, etc etc etc that can be used to fight against Zhaitan are being found out by an Asura. What they lack in size they make up with brains. The standard Asura seems like peace loving race only wanting to seek knowledge probably for the greater good of their Race but the Inquest don’t think that way. The whole world’s a big experiment to them and with their knowledge, I won’t be surprise if one day they manage to even find a way to harness the power of the elder dragons and hence bye bye to Tyria. The Asura will one day rule Tyria but will it be the good Asuras or the Inquest? =)

Yeah, I agree with Pomar. I’d read Edge of Destiny also and that’s exactly what Glint said (Glint is supposed to be the champion for Kralkatorrik and it can some sort of read the minds of the elder dragons, having been thru a few hibernating and awakening of the elder dragons). The elder dragons are basically animals with extremely great magical power and they basically ‘eats’ all living things they can find, other than other elder dragons I supposed, and when there’s nothing left to eat, they go to sleep, hibernate. Many thousand years later when they go hungry again and which by then nature would have recovered and new ‘food’ starts sprouting in Tyria, they elder dragons wake up and start their feast again. They are not evil, just hungry.
