The WvW-population of a server is variable, but this population acts always inside the fixed container of 4 maps, so the result is an unequal “power density” and an unequal battle.
If the WvW-maps are opened and closed similar to the Megaserver PvE-maps, with the lowest population setting the upper limit, the resulting battle is much more equal.

Also, to avoid endless queues for the servers with large population, make alliances of lower populated servers for the duration of the current match.
Example:
LargeServer1 (red)
vs.
MediumServer1 + MediumServer (blue)
vs.
SmallServer1 + SmallServer2 + SmallServer3 (green)

I have the same problem. The wiki and dulfy said that only the ascended version becomes soulbound, and indeed it didn’t happen for me.
I don’t like the design of this backpiece, so i made only the initial version (blue rarity) and gave it to my level 25 character.
Now i need it back on my lvl 80 to enter the story instance, but it became soulbound to the lvl 25 through this patch. So i have to make another one for 3 gold worth of iron, or upgrade for a similar price of steel.
Since this was changed without warning before, i consider it rather unfriendly and inconsiderate.

I do not like Scarlet Briar, because she herself is a mismatched alliance of conflicting parts.

1) Scarlet was supposed to fulfill the Living Story role of a dangerous world-threatening opponent, like Zhaitan in the Personal Story.

2) But then Scarlet was implemented into the game with all signs of comic relief villain: Excellent crazy-sounding voice acting, hilarious overpowered abilities, lorebreaking absurd backstory.

Unfortunately 1) and 2) don’t work together at all, and while most players had killed Zhaitan after some month, Scarlet is still around after half a year.

I really like the scenarios described by Nike.2631, and would like to direct your attention to the also brilliant ideas developed by Shriketalon.1937 in his thread To Merge the Personal and Living Stories .

It’s really good.

So far the events in the Living World are mostly ‘Alert! Some New Enemy is attacking!’.
This is ok once in a while, but someday someone has to fix the loose ends of the main story, and move forward.

1. There are still dragons around, let’s attack them. Move forward into their territory
   = new zones.
2. Zhaitan is dead, let’s clear the rest of his Risen. Move forward in time
   = permanently change old zones.

Yes, the time-travelling side effects of #2 are problematic. Nevertheless I’d like this to happen.

Pacing: One update a month would be better, at the moment it feels rushed.

1: new PvE-zones for exploration
2: continuation of personal story
3: camera, 1st person view
