I realize this thread is a bit old, but I’ve had that problem today. It may not be this, but I believe that the glitch occurs when you don’t follow Efut right from the start. You may notice lack of cut-scenes, even though you can hear the dialogues. Just follow Efut from the moment you encounter the little rascall and I think that would do the trick.
Also, he won’t follow you right from the part when the bone wall is risen, so if he’s not following you right then, just leave the instance instead of going through with it.
