I think you guys are being too kitten Forst. Not everyone wants to rush dungeons. Personally, we rush paths from time to time but I think it is too bad to end dungeons like this.
What Forst is trying to say is that the game encourages you in farming/rushing dungeons and all. Not just doing the dungeons with your friend the classical way.
It isn’t HARD to win gold, but it might be if you play the “classical” way, play the game the way it was meant to be played, not abuse every weakness you can find in a dungeon.
That’s my opinion, no need to be agressive. Thank you.
Wow I can’t believe I had not noticed this. Thanks a lot.
Hello,
I was wondering if we could choose the attributes we want on a dungeron armor.
You see, I was looking at this page http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Caudecus%27s_Manor_armor
And in the “Attribute” category I see multiple choices, but when I talk to the NPC in game I don’t seem to have any choice.
Anyone know if it is possible ? If so, how ?
Thanks
In my opinion you won’t find any build using spirit weapons, especially in dungeons. With all the AoE your spirit weapons are going to be destroyed in no time.
The only useful spirit weapon in PvE according to me is the shield if your ennemies are ranged. Otherwise, they are close to useless.
In sPvP they might be interesting if you are alone but that’s it.
There are two sides which make spirit weapons really bad :
- You actually have to use 4 traits to have them really effective ( 5 if you want the burning ).
- They die quickly
- The cooldown is too long
Plus you can’t exactly control them ( like the shield that uses its shield while there is no one in it ).
I play sPvP regularly but there are a few aspects that I hate a lot.
1. It is way too long to gain levels ! Seriously, i’ve been rank deer for months now ! I’m only lvl 16 or 17. Unless you spend your days playing sPvP you will have a really hard time gaining ranks, even with the augmentation of glory.
2. The glory you get is useless ! You can spend it in chests in which you are totally not guaranteed to have what you want ! Then you can recycle what you have and use it at the mystic forge… But then again you don’t know if you are going to have what you want.
3. Even worse, the gear you can have access to is limited by your ranks ! As I said, it takes way too much time to change ranks so you’re going to have always the same stuff ( and if you’re not lucky you won’t even have all of them ) ! I’ve earned thousands of points of glory and I do not even have a full heavy armor set…
PS : I know you can buy a component that allows you to have the piece of armor you want, but as it is limited by your rank, you will have the same forever, plus you are forced to recycle some gear first to have the resources needed.
In the end, my opinion is the same as the other ( in a different way though ) : sPvP is not rewarding at all.
Why do you take the Permeating Wrath trait if you don’t have any condition damage ?
In my opinion, you should only put 20 in Virtues and put the 10 points you have left in Honor or all 20 in Valor.
About your utilities, the cooldown is too high, you won’t be able to rely on it very often. To me, you should use Smite Condition instead.
Why do you use the staff for ? If it is only for the might or swiftness, I think it is too bad. Staff is not a very good weapon in solo.
Well, in that case it seems I was wrong about the guardian. So we can build a team without warriors or guardians, because anyway the mobs will attack whoever they want.
That’s too bad then.
Edit : Lol I see, all the team have members that can survive on their own so there is no need to have a character to protect the others.

I understand what you say, but in that case what is the point in being resistant in all the other PVE builds if we are just a profession like the others.
I know that due to GW 2 weird aggro mechanics this build cannot keep enemies from attacking allies, but no build can either ! Thanks to blind, I can limit the enemies attacks on my allies.
Even if the enemies attack multiple times or if we’re facing a boss, the vulnerability still applies which should quicken the fight and limit the damage we’re taking. I agree that the blind cannot work forever so that’s why there is a support side on this build : healing, condition removal, etc.
Well, you can try to be the first one to have the aggro, plus with the blind it does not really matter if they target you or not all the time, as long as they are grouped.
Edit : Yes, i know this build, but I wanted to try something different.

Hello everyone,
I am here to introduce you to a ( I think ) new build I just created.
I haven’t tested it yet but I would like to know what you think about it.
The main use of this build is in dungeons.
Here is the link to the build :
http://intothemists.com/calc/?build=-7;4RF-40K3cGF90;9;5J9JJ;158-3;015-38-D-V27;1TudbTudbO0kq1-3A70;0Ve5faf5g5haga4aV8-0F;9;9;7777777l
I think that this build has a lot of potential when it comes to apply vulnerability in area.
You can also tank a lot while supporting your team.
The Justice is Blind trait combined with Blind Exposure ( Radiance ), is the core of this build.
VULNERABILITY :
When using the greatsword or the sword and if you are surrounded by enemis ( like the good tank you are ), you will be able to apply a lot of stacks of vulnerability :
The more enemies there are, the more stacks you apply since the 2 with the sword AND the greatsword apply area blinding. Plus you have the focus to blind a few enemies again as well as giving you 3 blocks.
Then you have virtue of justice, which thanks to justice is blind will apply vulnerability as well and is recharged regularly with Renewed Justice.
TANKING/SUPPORT :
The rest of the traits are mainly for healing/surviving
The “Inscribed Removal” trait works well with Signet of Resolve and Signet of Judgment
Valor : Some toughness and Strength in Numbers.
Honor : The Superior Aria because we use 2 shouts and Pure Of Heart because with virtue of Courage, Retreat, Valorous Defense, and the Rune of the Monk will allow to heal multiple times.
Virtues : The Retaliatiatory Subconscious is not very important, it is just that i didn’t know what to take. The Absolute Resolution trait, however, is very important for removing condition as well as healing the team.
Why did I take the Tome of Courage elite skill ?
Because I like it.
And because, you can apply blind with it, heal you party and giving them some boons, very useful for support.
With this build you should be resistant to both damages and conditions, you can heal, give boons, apply a lot of vulnerability by yourself so this is why I think that it has a lot of potential.
I’m hesitating with using Symbolic Exposure which allows the symbols to apply vulnerability as well, but since I’m using the sword and it does not have any symbol, i’m not sure it’s worth it.
What do you guys think ?
