In ~2 weeks or so, Fractals will have been in the game for 3 years. In that time, 4 new fractal zones have been added.
HoT brought 0 new fractals. Re-skinned weapons that already existed, and two masteries that use fractals (as the legendary one needs a bunch for collections) that brought nothing interesting.
Where is the content? If dungeons are no longer being done in the game, how come nothing real was added to fractals. What we got with HoT was recycled.
Seems to have worked, thanks!
Encountered a new issue that just started happening today. Whenever I start GW2 through the launcher, after logging in and hitting play the game pops up (full screen), then gets minimized to the task bar once it reaches the character select screen and will not open or anything of the sort. There’s no system delay or choppiness associated with it.
I’ve tried updating drivers and Windows (using Win 7) and nothing has resolved the issue. Very odd problem that I’ve never seen with anything else before so unsure what to do. Canadian internet so would rather avoid redownloading the program due to bandwidth caps.
You guys are a bunch of whiny kids.
Submit bug reports, they’ll get to it in time. “Proof that they don’t care” is up there as one of the most childish things said I’ve read so far. ANet has a ton of stuff that they’re working through.
If you’re so mad at them, go play other games.
Queues are perfectly fine.
The actual problem is people staying on massively over populated servers.
Whats more fun, waiting 1-5 hours to play WvW where you MIGHT be able to play with friends, or instant queues on one of the losing servers and getting fights immediately with all your friends.
Hrm…
The first thing Devona’s Rest did on the reset was zergblob into Kaineng’s borderlands before even securing their own.
Heck, last week on Eternal when we were fighting Northern Shiverpeaks at Ogrewatch, a Devona zerg ran in behind us and capped Pangloss supply camp from the North.
DAWN guild used to be about “go for green” (hitting the bigger server), but we now farm Devona zergs for tons of badges whenever we get the chance as it’s quite apparent that there are players who don’t think strategically in WvW on that server.
Painting with a very wide brush though, I’m sure there’s people/guilds that recognize hitting NSP/Borlis is more important.
I’m constantly getting this reward for completing a dungeon, and some of the people I run with report getting between this amount and the standard amount of 26 silver.
I get this amount no matter how long I wait in between runs, even a duration of 1.5 days since the prior dungeon run. Is this a bug or intentional?
Kaineng is great as well in the off-hours, we just farm the people “camping” us for badges and loot.
Server is definitely growing with WvW oriented players, almost 3x as many as there were last week.
I joined this guild and I won the lottery, lost weight AND got married the following day. Would recommend A+
The AoE crystals dropping has a decently long period before they drop again, which is plenty of time to recharge mantras should you need to do so.
Optimal strategy for the boss is to unload elites (everyone in the group) and burn him down to 70%. From 70% to 30% the boss no longer heals, so you have one person kite the boss around while everyone else heals up and prepares spells. Once your elites are off cooldown, you then burn the boss from 30% to dead. It’s critical for the 2nd burn part to either move him to a part of the room that doesn’t have a lot of crystals, or have everyone ranging the boss so that he doesn’t summon a large amount of crystals near him, as the closer he is to crystals the faster he heals.
I main Mesmer and run 0 pieces of vit or toughness and have no issues surviving on this fight. MAKE SURE TO CLEANSE THE BURN CONDITION or you take double damage from everything.
It’s one of the harder fights there is, but Mesmers are fine on it if you just swap to a different spec and actually make the fight easier due to Time Warp.
Use Greatsword + Mantra Traits (Slotting Healing, STABILITY, and Cond Removal ones) so you have 3 charges of each and 4% more damage for each charge. On your attacks, make sure to pick up the clone on roll talent and every time you do 2, 4 + roll shatter your clones.
Mesmer does a ton of damage via that method, and just use mantra of stability the instant you get knocked down.
Kaineng has 0 queue times at all times, and TOOOOONS of opportunity to take the fight to the enemy.
The server is last place solely due to it’s small population. The server has plenty of pvp/wvw oriented players on it who transferred over looking for fights, not just to “win”.
It’s significantly more enjoyable to take a tower, keep and supply and set up fortifications and crush enemy zergs with fewer players than roll in a big blob like the “winning” servers.
Ha, thanks. We have a decent number of players, but our 12-15 people coordinating can annihilate enemy zergs of 60+ players in open field combat.
Plus 3 shotting other players, even 80s as a deathstar mesmer is a ton of fun!
There’s another issue with it; if you die you don’t respawn with the buff and have to leave the battleground and re-join it in order to have it active again.
Any chances of having the outmanned buff contribute to the team that’s down (and on Kaening, usually significantly fewer players) on players in some meaningful way?
Increased stats and/or supply capacity for players, or slightly improved doors/walls/siege held by the smaller server?
The server gets outmanned on Eternal Battlegrounds where the majority of the active WvW players go, with Borderlands being empty.
We can fight, but a small increase in magic find, karma and influence don’t do too much against 30-40 players vs zergblobs of 200+ who also have 2-3x orb bonuses.
World vs World on a “losing” server is so much more infinitely fun than playing on a “winning” server (the one with the largest zerg blobs) that I don’t know why anyone would care to transfer off of them.
2-5 hour queue times to be able to join a zerg and do nothing particularly entertaining, vs insta-pop queues and constant action (with your friends who can actually get in!) isn’t a hard choice.
I’m on Kaening, and we went from having NO POINTS AT ALL (not even a camp), to grabbing a few critical locations in Eternal Battleground and meat-grindering the other two servers whenever they came to take our fortified keep and towers. We had a fight at Ogrewatch Tower that lasted almost 1.5 hours that claimed probably over 1000 enemy lives over the duration held off by a significantly smaller number.
You don’t have to go looking for fights, they come to you.
Being on the bottom in WvW is SIGNIFICANTLY more fun and rewarding than the wonderful 3-5 hour queue times and rolling around with a zerg on the “winning” servers.
On Kaineng, you can grab a keep, tower and some supply lines with a small group of people, fortify them and then farm the mindless zergs that come. Yesterday ~20 players massacred a massive zerg of ~150 and it was glorious.
In the 3-4 days I’ve been on the server I’ve earned 700+ badges of honor for a couple hours a day of WvW. I had gotten like 40ish while on Jade Quarry over the course of weeks.
