Here’s the rundown:

For the last 2 days I’ve been experiencing extremely high pings (1000-2000 range) every so often. So little old me decided to finally tackle the problem but seem to have run into a wall. Any advice? I understand that I am experiencing lots of packet loss and the problem is somewhere between gw2 server and hop 5.

After reading around I found that some SEA (apparently Aussies too) players are having trouble/can’t log in or they have long loading screens that do not always load maps. From personal experience this sucks cause:

1) I can’t pvp (as maps doesn’t always load).
2) log in takes awhile (2-4 mins minimum). Sometimes it doesn’t log in at all after those minutes go by.
2) going to other maps result in long loading screens (but if I’m on the same map this doesn’t happen.)
3) I can’t enter home instances sometimes (screen loads and the loading circle spins but ultimately the “can’t connect message” pops up after about 2-3 mins). Incidentally this happens most of the time when I switch maps.
4) Due to being unable to go into home instances I am also teleported far away from where i initially was. (/sad walk to home instance to try again).

Now all this only started happening after the Wintersday update (early Merry Christmas to you all). Additionally, I’m sorry if I’m ranting but this situation I’m in is just really frustrating. Hope to get some sort of answers.

So yeah I had just salvaged Ulgoth’s tail (the exotic one for Treasure Hunter) using the mystic salvage kit and it didn’t appear in my achievement panel. Did I kitty myself up for not equipping it first?

Also I had just sent a ticket yesterday in game so I am waiting on that as well but I would love some confirmation from you guys.
