How many days have you been waiting, I’d like to know how much longer My ticket will sit unchecked.

got baned 48 hours ago, and have been working last 4 hours. the update and request to update my ticket have come during that period. so somewhere between 44-48 hours

Well Then Maybe My Ticket has been forgotten I haven’t heard back from them in a day now, ugh I wonder if there was an MMO of the Year I don’t think I’d vote for GW2 just yet. I guess I should Up date my ticket to make sure they haven’t forgotten me. Maybe they just read very very slowly.

So This is day 4 of my ticket being open I got 1 reply asking me for a serial code then nothing ever again, I guess It may be some time next week before I get back In game if I get back at all. The Speed of this seems to be as fast as A Net is able to provide. Well, I still see more people are being unfairly banned for being bots, When they were in fact playing fairly and enjoying the game. I was confident A net would solve my problem promptly before, but I have my doubts now. I’m thinking about switching to another game and taking my guild with me, It’s a shame because I really did enjoy Guild Wars 2 but being banned for no reason then having to wait over 4 days to have “THEIR” mistake fixed is a bit much, I think, A Net needs to work on their Support before they try to start banning bots, which they are obviously unable to do correctly. I guess I’ll wait a bit longer for this problem, but it’s stupid when you have a guild of about 60 people and growing waiting for you to get online and progress with the guild and set up events for the guild when you are unable to. -sighs- Come On Arena Net. Your a professional Company. It’s time you start operating as one. I feel like I’m on a Private Server for World of Warcraft. I Think it’s time for you to step it up. That sounds very close to what I have went through, My ranger I leveled from level 73ish to 80 in the cursed shores and ended up banned when i started a new charater quite depressing when you pay for a game, play it fairly and then you end up being treated like a rule breaker. I honestly think that it has alot to do with the Cursed Shore are on the map. From what I’ve gathered there are bots galore there and it “SEEMS” like A net is just scooping people up at random and banning them for being there too long. God forbid the day Queen’s Dale get’s hit with a few bots…. No more human charters, A friend of Mine told me if you unknowingly do an event where a bot is near, then you can get banned for assisting a bot. So while you’re out there leveling just remember Veteran and Boss Mobs aren’t the only thing you need to be afraid of. Bot’s and the Ban hammer will strike you down just as fast for less of a cause. A problem I am sure A Net is going to be fixing super soon seeing as how many problems and people they are having lately. I just received an email from them saying they are reviewing my account. I can’t wait to be back in the game and with this new found knowledge I will avoid Orr until I am sure the problem is fixed.

Yeah I had to call Blizzard once when I played world of Warcraft, my account was all messed up with something after i moved. I am still not entirely sure what the problem was with the account but Once I called Tech Support for them. It was like I needed a heart transplant they kept me on the line for about 15 mins and sorted everything out for me. Obviously Arena Net is dealing with alot of things at the moment. Though personally i feel they should put their customers before wanting to rack up bot banning numbers they should be a little more careful who they ban. It seems like what ever program they are using or person is getting happy with the ban hammer. But seeing Teldec V.6203 post about getting his back after 2 days gives me hope that I’ll get mine back haha. I guess with all this spare time… I’ll clean my room?

Wow, It’s good to see I am not the only person that has been banned for no reason at all. Not because other people are missing out but because, now I have faith that Anet is having a problem and will fix it as soon as they can. Let’s just hope i don’t have to wait over 2 weeks like my friend did.

So just a heads up to everyone. I recently got banned for botting on my account. Which obviously I wasn’t, but this happened to me anyways. If you’re reading this thread and have also been banned for this reason then you might find this interesting. If You’ve farmed in the cursed shores anytime from Late October till now in November, and spent more than about 2 hours there, then that is a great possibility that this was the cause. I’ve read plenty of threads and followed them back to their creators and asked a few follow up questions about this issue that seems to be plaguing respectable members of the game. 9 times out of 10 yes they were in that area farming Karma, or Exp to level up or save up for their gear. It appears that if you want to avoid being banned that you avoid this area of Tyria because it is unsafe for players due to the high amount of botting that people have been spotting. It’s sad that you can’t enjoy a game fully because of other people’s lack for the rules. I am currently waiting for my ticket to be answered so i can jump back in and enjoy this game. I thought however that it would nice for me to use this spare time to bring this to the attention to my fellow GW2 fans. I hope this helps anyone else who was wrongfully banned for botting. Often time’s the ban will not come right away but a while after for some reason. So don’t fret you did nothing wrong. There seems to be a fatale flaw in the bot catching system. Let’s just hope that Arena Net can solve this issue so we can reclaim the Cursed Shores From the Risen Army! :D
