I log on when everyone goes to bed and even though I am tired I can’t seem to play for less than 2 hours a night. This game is going to ruin my life…..but in a good way!
Yes. Looking forward to the 22nd myself.
Even though I don’t pay a monthly sub I still gave up sleep to play. ; )
I sure hope you are right. I have trouble seeing it die. I have given up sleep since I met it. Surely I can’t be the only person loving it. Sure I would have some tweaks and changes if I had my way but nothing is perfect.
It is possible that I do not know where to look but…
Is there anything by ANet or anyone for that matter where you can see the overall flow of server traffic.
Don’t get me wrong on my next comment….. I keep hearing “Is Guild Wars 2 failing?”…..“People are leaving the game in droves”….. and the like.
I’m not sure where this is coming from. I play every night and I have no trouble running into people to quest with. Waits for groups to run a dungeon can e annoyingly long but that does not appear to due to lack people just that grouping is clumsy and what not. Almost every dynamic event has people showing up in decent numbers. In short I have noticed that I am not constantly being shoved into Overflow (which is fine by me) but it still feels like the world is full of players out there.
So…
1. If there is no place to view server traffic, total active users, and so on just how does everyone seem so sure that the player base is in rapid decline? No matter what I google I can’t seem to get any idea of how many people are playing. which brings me too…..
2. Why the heck can’t I get any idea of how many people are playing no matter what I google. What gives? At least something that tells me what’s going on the different servers. How would I know if I want to switch? other thatn WvW rankings I feel that ANet has left me completly in the dark.
I for one am loving the game. I have a lvl 50 Ranger and a lvl 20 Elem. I want to finish to 80 with my Ranger….then roll a Guardian, Warrior, Engineer, and Necro. I am working on 100% world completion….running my first dungeons…have not tried but still looking forward to PvP and WvW…and there is new content in the works.
If the game “fails” I will be crushed. If this lasts for years I would probably stick with it granted content trickles out but at the moment I can get no read what so ever on what is going on.
Anyone else out there know somewhere to see this? Does anyone else keep hearing about “GW2 failing?” Anyone else confused about how we should have any idea what the state of the game is in the first place?

I like the combat still. I have a lvl 52 Ranger and a lvl 20 Elem. Sure I reached a point in farming XP in PvE where I started to get a lil bored with standard mobs with my Ranger. So, I switched from longbow/shortbow to Axe, warhorn/shortbow or to Longbow/Greatsword when I get bored. That for me does plenty to mix it up. As for the Elem. lawd they have a lot of combos.
All that being said…. I do have some ideas that would make life a lil more intersting out there.
1. Being able to preset weapon sets and swap between them. It would be nice to change my setup on the fly without having to enter inventory.
2. Having two modes for each weapon. Example – Axe could have: a Ranged skill set and a Mele skill set. OR Longbow could have a Ranged Damage skill set and a Ranged Effect skill set (you know cripple, bleed, poison, knockback for example er whatever)
OR
3. Instead of (2.) Multiple choices for skills 1 through 5 for each weapon. I would prefer this option. ex. Axe skill 1 = mele or ranged
Axe skill 2 = cripple or bleed or poison
and so on….
So, I like the setup the way it is. i.e. not having 100 skill boxes all over the screen. But I would like to see more flexibility in that setup. my two cents.
