There are a number of bosses that give absolutely no warning that they’re about to do a high damage melee ability, as well as some ranged abilities that can’t be dodged, even at range.
I’ve noticed that playing as a ranged dps the boss AoE circles need to be made more robust. They are there on the ground but very thin lines are used in the animation. I also think the boss should have some sort of visible channeling icon to give a clue to the player that things are going to get ugly real fast.

You are going to want to make sure the new CPU will fit the old motherboard socket (LGA) first.
Is there anything to do besides completing Hearts and participating in events to gain exp?

I find myself starting out with the idea that I am going to go to a certain point on the map, a heart or a vista or something else, and about twenty paces into my journey I am sidetracked—resource node, event nearby, a mob to try out a combat tactic on—and short story long, sometimes I do actually get to the place I had originally intended to go to. For me, there is almost too much to do in any given area. I like it.
I think the system introduced with this game is cutting edge. I hope other MMOs adopt something akin to it in the future.
Make sure your power supply can handle the upgrade. I am repeating this because it is very important – if it cannot, you whole system can be fried.
Also, what is your CPU ?
And here is a handy-dandy guide to “which GPU is more powerful” : http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html
Definitely I wish to echo this response dealing with the CPU rather than the GPU. It is possible to have a top of the line graphics card that might be throttled by the CPU, leading to more frustration than is necessary. Also, as others have said, make sure that the PSU is up to the task, and if your graphics card needs its own power feed, make sure the PSU is calibrated for that. Again, I make these notes so you can avoid frustration and have a smooth upgrade.
