Guild Wars 2

Hi All – Over the past few days at least, I’ve had very frequent and very bad lag spikes (Ping = ~2,000ms). The game is basically unplayable. I’m just wondering if anyone else has noticed this?

I just upgraded the gpu, cpu, and mobo on my pc…I don’t see how that could be the cause but unless it’s a server-side problem I don’t know what else it could be. But, results are coming back fine on internetspeedtest and pingtest even to servers in WA (where Anet is). Also double-checked that GW2 is still set to be allowed through the firewall. And the problem didn’t necessarily start right after the upgrade – what w/ the holidays and such I hadn’t played for at least a week before I upgraded.

I basically did this upgrade to take better advantage of the amazing graphics in GW2, so this has been pretty disappointing lol. If anyone has any thoughts I would certainly appreciate it; thanks.

Zomg…I misread the grammar of the description, rofl. I was reading it as – when you are wielding a conjured weapon, all of those other things do 7% more damage. Which of course makes no sense. Sigh.

I’m unfortunately forced by RL to be a casual player for at least another couple years here so I don’t know the math of the stats and stuff as well as I’d like but it sounds like it’s decent enough for now vs. paying 80+ gold for 6 runes of strength. Thanks for the info guys.

Hi All – Just a quick question. Anyone know if Engi kits count as conjured weapons? I’m asking bc I was looking for cheap rune alternatives and saw the description for Superior Rune of the Engineer, which basically says that when holding a conjured weapon, kits and other things do +7% damage. I feel like it can’t be that easy or more people would use it, but I also feel like the rune would be so pointless if they’re only talking about Ele conjured weapons that that can’t be right either, lol. Thanks for any info.

I’m getting kind of bored with spamming grenades, but searching around for builds online that’s pretty much all I’m seeing. Are there any builds built around guns or flamethrower or basically anything else that can compete with grenades in PVE? I don’t need the absolute best possible DPS as long as I can hold my own. Just need some variety! Thanks for any info; take it easy.
