Yeah, you’re doing it wrong prodigy. How dare you question them and ask for proof. It works great in areas like Queensdale, Caledon forest, Plains of Ashford, etc… with your lvl 80 mesmer. PvE goes down quick. I see Crewthief and Ross soloing those areas all the time.

Why does the guardian get split PvE/PvP skills and the mesmer don’t? Because there are plenty of builds (all of 2 builds (shatter and shatter) and soon only to include only scepter + GS builds) that works and Mesmer get plenty of loot; that is until you play another class like engineer and realize how much loot you are missing out on. But I do plenty of AOE damage with my berzerker, warden, shatter, etc. I just have to wait until they come off CD (which I use the time in between to make me a sandwich, goto work, sleep then come back) and only if the mob doesn’t die before they have a chance to tag/attack, and only if they don’t get one hit before they attack. But it’s all about timing (coming in and finishing off the mobs while they have low health as they are being damaged by the warrior’s ‘spin to win’ combo) and having the apm of a starcraft 2 player all the while doing just average so I can look down on other classes.

And I hardly ever see you die with your exotic gear on. That one time the spark fly caught you off guard while you were kiting the 2 Moa birds, that was understandable.

Exactly Ross. I seen you in the PvEing in the low level areas with your lvl 80. Three hitting those Moa birds mobs needs some nerfing.

You should know by now, the bugs are really nerfs that will be incorporated into the mesmer (they will never be fixed) such as the 3 sec confusion instead of 4 sec cry of frustration fix. The 4 sec would have been more useful in PvE as the mobs skills attack are so slow, but hey the PvP crowd wouldn’t like that. Like the illusionary leap not working half the time. Soon they’ll just update the skill that 50% chance your phantasm will actually spawn and for it to work, you’ll have to be on flat ground, naked, stationary and high on weed. Of course that might just be the weed, it might not have actually spawned.

Anet is just pushing you towards a shatter build. Why keep the Warden up at all when a) his attack speed is slower than a kitten snail (he went full kitten in this patch btw with the other phantasms to follow) b) he’ll probably be a one hit wonder c) why are you still using the staff. Btw, I have lots of nerfing ideas for the mesmer in case you run out of ideas Anet. Like instead of clones, the mesmer should summon migets who stand around talking smack back at you and attack you. Staff randomly inflicts negative conditions on youself, shatter that not only confuses enemies, but yourself also … etc. All to balance out PvP. There are PvE mesmers? =O
