Personal Story Quest: Estate of Decay
“Kill the Mouth of Zaitan in Kitah Manse”
Hello. I started this mission and it won’t progress even past the first door. The blood legion charr aggroed the undead chicken and I killed everything that spawned from that, but now I’m just stuck with no way to progress. I read that one of the npcs is supposed to get bored and move forward, but nothing like that is happening for me. :\
As long as the new armors are introduced into the game and not the gem store I’ll be happy. I don’t want more RNG box ticket scraps and gem store only buys. I’d like to see new content involve new permanent drops. And even old content.
I feel the same way. I mean, I don’t expect mobs to drop epic-looking gear, just much different looking. My character looked exactly the same from lvl 30 to 80. That is not cool.
or just remove the armor weight limitation
People were up in arms about this suggestion a while back – seems they’d get confused at a, previously light armour wearing, mesmer wearing heavy armour.
Personally, i don’t see what all the fuss is about.
If you honestly can’t tell what class a player is, from the skills they use, and are solely relying on looks alone…well, there are no words really.
Not to mention their class is displayed next to their health bar
44 armor skins? Cool. I don’t care for quantity. I want quality. Yay! 30 different trench coats for medium armor!
…I don’t want to wear a trench coat.
t-_-t
Some nice hooded priestly robes would be nice… Oh and some nice big cloth shoulders.
I would totally be up or the grim reaper for necroes and a lab coat for engiesArah light armor is pretty great.
Arah armor looks like what the grim reaper would wear if a pack of homosexual stylists made him fabulous.
I’ve been playing since release, and I’ve go to say: I am not fond of most of the armor skins in this game. Most of the cool-looking armor is Heavy armor. I personally dislike the heavy armor classes because they aren’t as engaging to play. So I’m left with medium and light armor. Unfortunately, the medium armor almost all looks the same (leather trench coat with a bandit mask/pirate hat) until you get to the dungeon armors (which look different but in no way as bad kitten as the heavy armor). The light armor looks even worse than the medium armor (just my opinion, obviously). I wondering if the Guild Wars 2 team could pump out some cooler looking skins. I know they released the flame skirt thing for the light armored classes, but that’s just the Human T3 armor with some added colors. I find that lame. I’m not knockin’ the graphics of the game; I find the artwork and graphics to be above that of any open-world MMORPG out there. But I just feel the aesthetics of the armor to be lacking.
Some examples of what I’d like to see:
Light Armor –
A legit wizard robe with wizard hat
Battle Mage armor that looks like it’s half heavy & half light armor
Demonic Cultist robes with a hood that black out the entire face
Dragon shaman robes or something of the sort (flame legion doesn’t quite exude the magical nature of light armor classes that I’d like to see)
Make the Acolyte of Grenth robes available plox (and the rest of the gods for that matter)
Maybe a Grim Reaper-looking robe to give the necros some love?
Medium –
Bring back some of the armor from the GW1 Assassin class (and ranger)
Void armor sporting a blurred trail effect for when the character moves (please?)
Lab Coat for the engineers
Straight up ninja garb
Maybe something with a cloak of some sort? Rangers should have cloaks
Also, while I’m at it: Bring back the guild capes!
:3
And you wonder why you die so much.
If you read the post, I was wondering why I dealt no damage primarily. I expected to be glass with that particular set up, but I was/am not dealing any damage still.
This is my build.

I kill some people with my current set up/skill. And those people are not Warriors, Thieves, or Guardians. I find that the class I can kill the most is the Mesmer, due to my AOEs obliterating their clones/phantasms. I beat Engineers about 25% of the time, and Necros completely depends on their build; I typically do well against minion masters. As far as Ele v Ele, I haven’t really had consistent results with that.
I’ll post my build as soon as I can.
Yeah, I want to blow people up.
Such fire. Much crispy. Wow.
My issue is that I do focus on point suppression, but they just leave the point briefly to kitten on me and then they cap the point while I bleed out (if they decided not to waste their sweet time stomping me).
So what would you guys recommend for a staff ele?
I recommend you don’t play staff Ele until April 15th. Cleansing Water is getting a revert to the old, OP version. The group condition removal you can get with Staff 5 and other water traits are out to lunch.
Lol, what? Just that ONE skill made the staff viable? Right now I try to nuke people, but even when they sit in my AOEs, I do no damage. In PvE, I completely destroy everything with the staff (except in Arah), but when I bring the same build to PvP, it does no damage at all. Needs buff?
So what would you guys recommend for a staff ele?
Thank you guys for all your input. It was very helpful.
I was hoping someone could tell me what I’m doing wrong, but I feel that whenever I pvp at all, I seem to not deal any damage at all while also being stupid squishy regardless of how I build my character. I’ll run into thieves that deal 75% of my max hp with one back stab and then when I try to do that with a thief, I won’t do nearly as much. What factors should I consider? I’m tired of people just straight up owning me while I can’t do it to other players. Not even the newbies. I’m not referring to just my thief, though. Any of my characters. I’ve tried switching up the spvp runes and everything, but still drop in two to five hits.
