A question about Dual Wield

While in Death Shroud, upgrades, such as sigils, on the necromancer’s currently equipped weapon continue to function (with the exception of sigils that trigger on weapon swap). The weapon damage of the equipped weapon is applied to the Death Shroud skills, including any traits that affect the equipped weapon, such as Axe Training.

So that must be wrong. The weapon damage of the equipped weapon is not applied to the Death Shroud skills. How about the Axe Training 10% damage modifier and sigils like Sigil of Force – do they apply to life blast (Death shroud skills)?

We are getting a bit off topic, but i’m asking this because GW2 changes all the time and i want to make sure that the wiki is still viable about upgrades continue to function on death shroud skills.

Life blast like any other utility skill doesn’t use the weapon attack modifier, it uses the own skill base damage and then is multiplied by your power and by a modifier that depends of the skill.
Now, the stats like power, precision and so on, sums up.

Life blast under 600 ranger is: [Power] * 1.4 (skill modifier) * 341 (skill base attack) / [Armor]

EDIT: People care, and some cares a lot.

Thanks – it helps me alot.

I’m a bit uncertain about how Life blast damage is calculated when dual wielding. I’ve read on some pages that it is based on weapon strength like most other skills, however how does the damage then work on dual wield?

a) Damage is based on the avarage weapon strength of the dual wield
b) Damage is only based on main hand weapon strength
c) Damage alternates between weapon strength of main hand and off hand for every life blast.
d) Damage is not affected by weapon strength

e) Other options?

I appreciate your help

Axe is an awesome weapon for necro. I recently made a power necro build with axe that many people have asked about. People should experiment more than sticking to usual builds.
