Well to answer my own question.

Thankfully I’m not paying my internet per GB otherwise that would have been a waste, Suppose I’ll try again next year. Not holding out for much. Poor show Anet.

Like 40ish in most pve situations. WvW sometimes dropped to 15fps.

Edit: I decided to download it anyway and see for myself. Just hope it’s not identical issues and framerate

I’ll keep this short and sweet,

Shortly after the game was released I was disappointed with the games performance finding it was detrimental to my fun even through exceeding min req. (8150@4.7,8GB1600,680)

Anyone with a similar setup to mine able to tell me if there’s been improvements these past 3-4 months, and if so how much?

This is why I no longer play GW2, the lack of willingness to implement & improve multithreaded performance has left many people, including me, unable to play the game in an acceptable state.
Why such poor support may you ask? I put it firmly down to DX9 & cost. Multithreaded applications can be difficult and error prone to optimise especially on DX9, something which AN didn’t want to spend a lot of time & money doing, unfortunately they are way behind the curve in this mentality and the game has suffered.

After numerous promises of significant improvements in optimisations throughout BWE events, they failed to deliver. On the bright side, it’s kinda taught me a valuable lesson;
Don’t invest in something you cannot confirm.
