Dear Anet,
PLEASE remove the soulbound mechanic entirely, and replace it by account bound.
No sense at all in grinding for the same hard-to-get shiny weapons etc.
When players feel like trying a different race or when going from war to guard without that legendary that took them 7 months to grind, it would be very nice if they didnt have to again.
Vote + please to see this happen !!
+5% boon duration gear:
A suffix with +1% boon duration and some healer stats is one of the available choices for MAX-stats (end-game) exotic gear… which, after rounding, increases boon duration by …in most cases 0 seconds! For PVE 5% may be more appropriate (since a maximum of +70% would not be unbalanced in comparison to say.. knights- or berserk- gear). Also it would be nice to extend the mechanic to stealth for pve, to make roaming more comfortable. It would be desirable to have at least some way to get 100% up time for stability and stealth in PVE. If implemented im pretty sure people would like more stat combinations with it as well. Thanks!
My idea was not to make any unbalanced enhancement to chain skills when wielding legendary, just a little extra move with a nice animation would be very enjoyable.
Obviously adding any new skill should add some useful variety though.
And the same thing could be done for ascended weapons when they make their appearance.
Ascended weapons will most likely be much more easy to procure.
As an alternative to adding basic stats to legendary weapons in progression to exotic…
Add a special attack at the end of chain-skill line for legendary – some ideas:
GS/sword/axe/dagger – “omnislash” = 1 slash propelling you forward trough mobs and 1 slash back again (400 range or so), 0.5 sec evade during slashes (0.6-8 activation);
Bows/Rifles/Pistols – “assassinate” = maybe a backstep shot with a nice fader animation and evade or simply a barrage-like variant;
Staffs/Scepters= “starfall” a single small radius blast version of meteor shower, but more shiny;
Hammers/Maces= “yeti smash” somekinda stomp would be spectacular, raining dust on the area and blinding foes in say a 300-radius.
Any additions to skills would be awesome and make the weapon feel even more epic
One fighting stance that sticks out especially is for the human greatsword animations: female has a much more awesome stance than human male and other races ESPECIALLY the chain attack skill
