I definitely think the ArenaNet that designed the Hall of Monuments and the initial idea of Guild Wars 2 isn’t the same ArenaNet as now.

Pretty sure it is not, Chris Whiteside has only been with Anet since July , 2011. If that says anything.
He did mention something to the effect that it may have been better to introduce ascended gear pre-launch. I have to wonder how many would not have bought the game if that had been the case, and if it would have grabbed some who would not have thought about GW2.

A certain big name game that is feeling very threatened by GW2’s popularity certainly has the budget to buy a few games and pay a couple peeps to go gamebashing on their forums.

I read this and had a small chuckle. Was thinking/wondering how many Anet employees haunt this forum………………………. anonymous like. Just a thought.

That Anet put up a forum in the first place is astounding, given their reliance on others to do so in the past. Have to wonder if they are regretting that decision somewhat.

To stay on topic with the thread….. I try and speed read til I get to something that is not a raving rant or a gushing love fest. Having said that, imo any complaint is valid as is any praise. I don’t have to agree with any of it nor does anyone else.

A new tier of gear (1 item) was released that adds a whopping 3 more stats to current best gear. Apparently this a low blow to the community.

That is for 1 piece, add that up for every piece of gear you can equip, adds up.
And after reading the developers postings, the new gear will be needed for upcoming new content not just the new dungeon.
