I was wondering if anyone has discovered the answers to the speculation about the ascended backpeices and more importantly the way you obtain them.
I am fully aware of the Mystic Forge recipes involving vile of condensed mist + 250 Ph stones/40 Crystals + 40 globs of ectoplasms + 250 T6 ingredient depending on what stat allocation you want. See following link for more information about these:

However these seem somewhat unobtainable for me as the power/pres/crit damage one that i am interested in will cost me upwards of 75g. I have been under the assumption that there was another way to obtain ascended backpeices via purchasing the exotic “Prototype Fractal Capacitors” from the FotM vendor for 1350 tokens and using them as a precursor for a different ascended backpeice recipe then the T6 ingredient ones. I have seen Ascended Fractal Capacitors on the GW2DB that don’t have “Prototype” in there name so I assume I’m on the right track however this has not been confirmed by anyone from what i can tell.
So what I’m really asking is… dose anyone have any information on this? maybe a hint from a dev? because its really going to be a huge bombshell if i have to save 75+ g for my backpeice.
