Tonics are in need of attention, mainly due to the fact that transformations can be rather irritating to acquire, I mean, when I really want to become a suit of armor, I can’t because it eventually takes me around fifty or so ‘Transformation’ actions to acquire that exact transformation.
So here’s what I propose
I think the whole RNG aspect of it should be removed and replaced with a sipping mechanic. Basically how this would work is the right-hand side toolbar is replaced with sipping actions, each one is a different sip, turning you into something different.
An example would be, say you have the Endless Toymakers Tonic, sip one turns you into a Dolyak, two sips turn you into a Toy Ventari, three makes you a Doll, and four turns you into a Golem toy.
Though if one tonic has too many transformations, the elite skill box would be replaced with a ‘Next’ arrow, allowing the player to view the other transformations that couldn’t fit in with the first selection, kind of like how the instruments work when you change octaves.
Here’s a little mock-up I made as a reference if anyone is having trouble visualizing it.
I think both the tonics and the change of making outfits into a single, one-piece costume is a terrible idea. This, to me, is like scrapping the entire concept of town clothes. Nobody is going to want something they can’t mix and match, nobody is going to want something they can change to suit their own tastes and preference.
Guild Wars 2 emphasizes on player experience, customization, playing how you, the player, wants to play, how you want to look, everything. And this decision is a limiting factor, a lot of people held their hopes high for town clothes, hoping the system would better itself, that we’d have a separate wardrobe tab so the clothes wouldn’t take up our precious inventory space, instead, it’s only gotten worse.
Please, PLEASE don’t even think these tonics and one-piece outfits are a good thing, so many people pride themselves on how they look, their dye combinations, their armor setup, even with town clothes, and you’re only taking that away.
I mean, hell, I’ve had so much fun with town clothes in the past, all the sorts of combinations and whatnot, I almost feel proud of myself when I walk around a group of people and get a bunch of whispers, complimenting me on how great the Ringmasters hat along with the Wintersday clothes look so great on my character, and just seeing the ability for this kind of stuff to go away, it just doesn’t make any sense to me.

Rata Sum is truly one of the most beautiful places I’ve been at in a video game, so out of pure motivation I set up a little video showing off most of what makes Rata Sum such an interesting place to be at.

The Medium Rubicon gloves have this annoying orange seem that runs down the middle of each gauntlet as shown in the image below.
This texture bug is not visible on any other race but Asura.
I believe it would be much more aesthetically pleasing to have the Flames Of Kryta torch to appear on the off-hand instead of the main-hand just as the off-hand torch would appear, just as this diagram would show.
Currently my only character is an Asura, and his name is Keggin. Got the name by messing with the name generator, came out with Kegg and decided to add the ‘in’.
