Recently one of my friends account was hacked, and all of his stuff was taken away from him. He decided to try to restore his account thinking that he will get all of his stuff back before it was hacked. Instead, when ArenaNet restored his account, a vast majority of his characters and items were erased. It seems like it restored it to the point of which he started playing. How often are snapshots taken of player accounts?
With this new update coming up, do the people at ArenaNet take snapshots of player accounts so that if this update affects anything, they will be able to recover that account before the update? It would be nice to know this situation please.
