First, I wouldn’t really call Marjory and Kasmeer’s relationship soap operay. To me soap operay is characterised by lots and lots of forced drama, not mushy romance.
Second, I personally enjoy character development and interaction more than plot. To me a plot is meaningless if I can’t enjoy the characters involved. On this note I enjoyed this update. I am liking the b-team more than Destinies Edge more and more.
I understand that some people can’t stand romantic subplots, but did Marjory and Kasmeer’s romantic subplot really play that big of a role in this update. All I can remember is the initial conversation about Marjorys health (mirrored by the similar conversation with Braham) and then the finishing of that conversation early on in the next quest. Other than that, the closest it comes to mentioning their relationship is Marjory and her pet names and thats more a character trait then anything. In terms of voice dialogue and character development, I think Marjory and her relationship with her sister had the most time devoted to it.
What’s your basis for that?
I think you need to Google or Wiki the term Prince consort.
Logan is not a King in his own right or a Lord or even a noble.
Where is your basis for him not being a Noble? We know he comes from a long line of high-ranking people in society, for example. Look at Gwen Thackeray. I still don’t see how a marriage to Jennah wouldn’t elevate him to being, ‘King.’
Logan not being noble comes from the second book, the one that introduced him as a character. I believe this is also the main reason Logan and Jennahs relationship is so secretive. As it would not do Jennah any good to antagonize her nobility and ministers anymore than she all ready has.
He would not be king, as king is traditionally (real world, not necessarily Tyria, but do far there has been nothing to suggest otherwise.) the higher rank. When you have a Queen as ruler, she can not have anyone with a rank higher then her, even her husband, hence the rank and title of prince consort. This is why the current Queen of England (and many other countries) husband is not a King.
