History of the Guild:
Legion of the Twin Blades started in the first Guild Wars game. Its founders were I Am Thore and Mr. Blendy, with lead officers such as Rinki Forworn. We have a different approach to a guild then most might be used too. We started small and grew threw very careful member selection, to a guild of 99+. We formed a thriving alliance of guilds that shared our similar vision. We even had plans to have members branch off and form sub guilds of the Legion. Sadly though, once the rumors of Guild Wars 2 began to bubble up, many players lost interest in the first game. In 2009, we disbanded the guild and alliance and took the personal oath to have the Legion rise again in Guild Wars 2. A fresh start in a fresh game. The Legion has risen again. And we will not fall!
How We Recruit:
Here at LOTB, we have a different method of recruiting players. I’m sure most of you have seen the many guilds that spam the main towns with “Join [NOOB] today! Bank/Site/Vent!”. We do not do that. Period. We recruit on an individual basis with players that we have played with in game. If you receive an invite from LOTB, know that it means we like what you bring to the table. In Guild Wars 1, this was our procedure, and we were able to build a full guild and alliance of all active players that got along and worked well with one another. We don’t plan on changing that anytime soon. There is no point in having a huge guild with no one active and those that are don’t help each other. NOTE: If you do apply on the site for an in game meeting or TeamSpeak meet up, this does increase your chances of joining the guild simply because it puts you on our radar.
What do you mean by Semi-Hardcore/PvX Guild?
We are a Semi-Hardcore/PvX guild. This means that while we are serious in what we do, we do not consider ourselves “Elitist”. We keep the chat casual and the TeamSpeak light with humor, but we do know what we are doing when it comes to the game, and if you happen to take part in some WvW activities or Dungeons, expect some jargon that lower experience players might now recognize. If you don’t know what something means though, please don’t be afraid to ask! Now, onto the PvX part. For those of you unfamiliar with the Player Versus code, its PvP=Player vs Player and PvE=Player vs Environment (The story side of the game. PvX means we partake in both PvP and PvE. However, our main focus is on PvE. This is subject to change over time depending on how the game plays out. But for now, mainly PvE with some PvP.
