Guild Wars 2

While in Guild Wars 1 the minis did sit in the inventory, they didn’t disappear. My biggest complaint is that as soon as I use the “deposit” function in my inventory, my minis disappear into my bank. I then have to go to LA or some other place with a bank, fetch them out, and bring them back out…until I click the “deposit collectibles” button, and the horrible cycles repeats. Yes, I know there are special bags or safe boxes that one can put items in and the items (including minis) won’t disappear. But I generally don’t have them, nor do I like using them because stuff that I don’t want in them tends to get stuck and…well it is a minor nuisance I know, but it is one that keeps me from using, buying, wanting, or caring about minis. I guess what I’m saying is I wouldn’t mind minis being in the inventory as much—although I do agree with the suggestion of having a mini slot on the “H” menu—if they didn’t disappear all the time. In GW1, I have my minis out and about all the time—fungal wallow ftw. In GW2, I never use them because of the “deposit” issue, which is a shame—they’re cute.

Well, actualy I am hoping for that water/dark creature that was helping me in the end of the story mode. I forgot the name of it, but it was that one with “wings” where it could swim well etc. It would be exciting if there was a underwater race, since it would be unique, and also could come into the lore alot better since we have only seen 1 kind of this creature

Yeah that creature (the underwater shadowy manta-ray’ish…thing) was pretty awesome! So I would have to agree, an underwater race would be cool, too! Tengu, Koda, Hyleks maybe even. What about the Naga, Krait, or even the Harpies? The Grawl race is kinda neat—I can’t imagine the females looking too pretty—but they’d be interesting. I don’t know though; I’m still leaning towards Centaurs. Everything else walks and moves on two legs—-or one tail—but is upright and normal(ish). Not saying that’s a bad thing…as a human (literally), I’m somewhat partial to it

I had suggested this when ArenaNet first announced the creation of Guild Wars 2, and I am going to suggest it again as the GW2 one-year anniversary looms ever closer (and for the simple fact I think it is still a [very] good idea).

I think the next playable race should be Centaurs. Centaurs have played a huge roll in both Guild Wars (Prophecies and Nightfall—I love you Zhed!) and Guild Wars 2. Centaurs would be a unique playable race different from other MMOs (at least the one’s I’ve seen, I’m sure someone can correct me on this and will). The Centaurs Anet has developed for both Gw1 and 2 already have unique looks, weapons, armor, and we know they can move, jump, dodge, slash, and rain holy terror with awesome style while kicking butt…mainly our butts. Their story and lore already fits in seamlessly with the world (but due to their mysterious/awesome nature, there is still sooo much more we don’t know about them) and they already have a presence and locality on the world map, with new areas easily addable. I’m just saying, it would be insanely awesome to run around on four legs, kicking butt and taking names!

What do you think? Would you like to play as a Centaur? What other races would you like to see playable in the near future? (hint hint wink wink Anet!) Skritt? Tengu (Guild Wars Faction fans anyone?)?

This is an area where I’m supremely disappointed in Anet. One of the amazing things about MMOs is the ability to play and communicate with anyone anywhere in the world. That’s how it should be! We shouldn’t be sectored off from each other. It’s one of the reasons I loved GW1—I could just change to international servers and play with players in Germany or Korea, or wherever. It’s great to be able to play and learn from each other, and experience new cultures and play styles. I’m beyond disappointed that in GW2, we have been roped off. There are things that I really love about GW2, things that are new and mold-breaking, but when it comes to the community, GW2 has missed the point. We cannot communicate or play with each other at all and we don’t have guild halls to hang out in—two things that an older, less technologically advanced GW1 game implemented.
Please Anet let the game be massively multiplayer! Let us players from everywhere take down that pesky Zhaitan together!
