I was in a jp instance yesterday. A guy had probably pressed down on auto run. He kept porting to the started area (the bonfire) and running off the ledge. He was probably dying and reappearing every half a second – so 29 ports in under a minute makes sense to me. I don’t know? Is pushing down auto running and going AFK botting?
It happens to be I asked in chat if it was a bot, and others said it was probably someone who just wanted to stay in the instance. The instance actually bugged when the timer got to zero. Me and 2 others stayed in the instance and were able to continue jumping and getting rewards with out a problem. I was worried it was against the EULA to stay in that bugged instance, so after doing the jp twice or three times I left.
td;lr I can see how someone could “accessed 29 map points in under 60 seconds” and it shouldn’t be considered botting.
Just my 2 cents here.
I’m in Israel and I’m also getting the lag at approx. 3:30 pm my time (GMT+3), until it becomes totally unplayable. Pings start to avg. 800 then 2000 and by 4000ms I log out. It started after BW3. [At least I can play in the mornings (avg. ping is about 100ms when there is no lag)]
I believe my ISP also routes through Telia and I had the lag problems a few months back. Right now it’s completely unplayable and I also purchased the HoT ultimate.
I really hope it doesn’t take 3 months to solve this.
I will be calling my ISP tomorrow to let them know about this problem, though I doubt it will matter.
Edit: -clientport 80 worked for me. So, not sure what that means for you guys.

I can understand that the mordrom blossoms are PvE/lore based. But can’t there be some collector who still is looking for other tokens and giving out the blossoms in exchange?
With The Mordrom Are Coming event, we are given another token to farm. Wouldn’t it be nice if I could convert the 20 Found Belongings and 379 Found Heirlooms I still have in my inventory for the blossoms or for Festival Tokens (to add to my stack of 220 left over)?
Nice job. Followed this thread the whole time.
But… (isn’t it always there?)…. I was kind of hoping for another rifle skin from the mystic forge (other than the ONLY 1 we can get right now (the Mystic Rifle). And yes I do realize there are 3 pistol skins and 5 shields…).
Perhaps for us Engiee’s who don’t get much use out of back items, Zomorros would like to offer us a Foefire/Spirit Rifle?
I would also point out, that the few items the artificer needs (3 according to what I see) for potion making, can all be salvaged from items dropped in the world (adorned pearl and Intricate Sunstone Jewel (I get an average of 2 – 3 per day just running AC) and bolt of linen). FYI, the artificer doesn’t have the ‘up’ button to allow me to craft the jewels….
And even if the excuse is either 1. the back item should be made from more sturdy materials (yeah right!) or 2. other crafting disciplines need items from other crafting disciplines, so its all ok…. At least when you click on the arrow up to craft that item, there should be a message somewhere saying “please ask your friend the artificer/huntman/chef/armorsmith… etc. to make this item for you” or “Your crafting discipline doesn’t allow for crafting this item. You can purchase it on the TP”, or some such notification, instead of giving us the recipe and then graying out the craft button….
I had all the materials for making bronze in my inventory, and I was clicking the craft button and couldn’t figure out what was wrong. It its not technically a ‘bug’, it is definitely a design flaw.
or bronze…. I’m standing around with my jeweler scratching my head….

I’ve been looking all over for some ideas of what to do with lack of storage space for all the skins. It also seems to be that with every release there are more skin options. What is someone suppose to do with all these skin options if not save them??? Especially since the content is, in most cases, temporary.
Also had a PM where i was told someone loved me… sigh
Couldn’t agree more…. the spawn rate for certain areas needs to be reduced by about 5 to 10 minutes. This will enable new players to the area that you already cleared to wait a short amount of time to get their kills, without making you mad that the exit to the cave/compound/camp is packed again with mobs.

Totally agreed! And not just on a map. Why can’t there be a sign by each gate (in Asuran script for those who want immersion) that you could mouse over and get the destination? Instead, you have to run up to each gate to figure out which one it is. And its so annoying!

For those new to the world of Tyria, the way party formation worked in GW1 you had a party seach tab (P) that you opened. You could them find other players by posting a short message under 5 categories: quests, missions, trade, hunting, and guild. As time went by, the majority of the posts were for trade, since there was no auction house. But it was still used for finding others to help you with missions and quests.
For example: In pre-searing ascalon you would use it to find hunting charr parties. In Spama… um Kamadan, you would use it to find players to ferry you to the docs (allowing players to skip some content to go on to a mission). And guild recruiters posted their guild stats in Lions Arch. Temple of the ages party list included players looking for parties to do the Underworld or Fissure of Woe. And every mission outpost allowed you to post if you were looking for help. The idea of Embark Beach was that anyone needing help with a mission would go to one central location from which the missions could easily be accessed by a party of players.
But in GW2 this feature is missing. How do I join a guild? Do I spam in LA: “lf guild” and hope and pray some guild leader will see my message in chat? Nope… I got to go to forums and look for guilds there.
If I need help with a heart (knowing I need the help before I go and do it) how do I hook up with other players? Do I spam map chat and hope some kind soul will come along to help me? Unfortunately what happens instead, new players are running around on their own and they come across a problem, and then announce to the map they are having a problem. Unless I’m close to the area I won’t help, because chances are I’m already in the middle of a heart or an event. Why should I pay the way point fee to jump over to them and help them out. If they had “grouped” up with me before leaving LA or DR (etc…) they would have had the help they needed, and they wouldn’t be playing solo. They would actually be playing with other players like an MMO is suppose to be played.
But all of the above is nothing compared to the problem of hooking up with PUG’s in order to do dungeons. Until I came across this site (GW2lfg.com) I thought the game was dead… I couldn’t for the life of me find parties to do dungeons with. And considered myself lucky if I happened to be in LA when someone posts that they need 1 more for dungeon X. Admittedly I was on a low population server, but this just highlights my point: How can you party up with other players across the servers if you are not in a guild (like me) or don’t have friends playing GW2 (like me)? (Perhaps I’m the exception to the rule, but I think there are a lot of players out there who are new to the MMO genre or don’t have that many friends who are into gaming). How do you find other random players to do dungeons with?
ArenaNet, please please bring back the Party Search feature from GW1!
