Quick question, if anyone could respond to.
I’m deployed, and use a wifi egg to get my internet.
I haven’t played since August, and want to know if anyone would have a rough estimate on how mamy GB the updates from that point, until now would be?
Probably a rough, or impossible question to ask. But I thought it would be a shot!
-Thank you.
Oh who knew. I guess I’m just used to more complex MMO’s. No, I’m not talking about WoW, more on the lines of Final Fantasy 11.
I’m finally wanting to recruit some individuals into my Guild, if any of you are interested!
I have the following unlocked:
All areas are level two
Large amount of influence, with items queued
Of course being the only one in the Guild, it’s been a task getting all of this done. I figured who wants to join a Guild if there aren’t any upgrades?
I’m looking for new and veteran players who just want to have simple, fun.
Without feeling like they are playing to go to work.
Message me here if I’m not on, or message me in game by mail!
We’ve been using the same set of skills, over, and over again. Like the few, which some of you will relate, I stick to one class and one class only for what ever reason. I’m not ranting or complaining, but wouldn’t it be nice if we had a little more verity of skills to use with each profession? Or will we have to buy them?
I would like that.
How many titles are there? On wiki there seems to be only a handful, the ones everyone have listed aren’t even coming to mind. Does anyone care to explain?
Nothing of major need, but wouldn’t it be cool to see your accounts age and could display it by your characters name? We all know the game will run for the next years to come, so why not show how long you’ve played?
Few things to suggest.
-New players coming into the game, could ask for help by seeing other players who have played longer. Yes this would get annoying from messages, but who says you have to answer the players, right?
-Rewards for every so often your account has been alive with ArenaNet, such as treasure chest or even something only players with certain ages can have!
-Titles
This is all I could think of for now. Just thought it would be kind of cool.
I have looked all over the interwebz and cant find one.
The reason why I’m looking is for a simple reason. I’m on my last craft to obtain Master Crafter, and I am getting lazy. I want to spend ten dollars on gems and switch them to gold, about how much would I get?
Wow! Thank you guys for the feedback! Really enlightened me on playing at level 80 now! Thank you everyone
In most or every zone? Sorry for all the questions, lol. I never got to play Guild Wars 1, and not sure how similar it is. I can see being level 80 feeling like that, Arena Net did a good job making that feeling.
Where is that exactly? I appreciate your reply, by the way. I hear everyone talking about these great areas, but where are they? Do they need quest to get into?
I’m glad you mentioned WvW, I have no idea what I’m doing in there. I’ve tried it a few times, but I just find myself trying to fit in and run around with the rest of the group. While running around doing that, I’m thinking to myself, what exactly am I doing here?
I’ve been doing that lately. I set my self little goals to get over time. I’m in the Army so it’s a little hard to get time to play, and to stretch time with my wife and child. When I play now I find my self mapping, and exploring.
Hello!
I have a few questions I hope I could get some advice on for level 80 or may be before the cap?
•First off I’d like to ask, what and where and how do you fight “world bosses”?
•Besides dungeon runs, are there any events that usually have good drops?
•This is probably a popular one, but what does everyone do at end game? I currently have a level 50 Guardian. I know it doesn’t sound impressive, but I’ve gone through each profession and finally stuck with this one. I’m a MMO vet and just want to know what everyone is doing after the level grinds. What people are doing for gold, and does level 80 help you make gold for your next character?
To bad the Trading post gets fluctuated so easily.
I didn’t know there was one, where is it?
I did to actually, it was fun and relaxing. It was like crafting where you mix recipes and your done. You got to interact with a skill.
Its sad if they are listening. But what benefit does the player get? Yes, Arena Net may publish a suggestion, but in the end they are the ONLY one who gets the gold medal after the race. Look at kites for example, someone that was not in Arena Net got bored and thought they would share it. Its the cruel cycle of MMO’s. Players never win, they never get rewarded and never will.
I agree but sadly Arena Net built the game the way it is to defeat that purpose. To defeat “my race is better than yours”
One more point to add. Fishing in a really good way is a ideal key point for new players to make some coin. Making some coin obviously helps you progress. With crafting or buying that new armor set you always wanted.
I remember on FF11, if I had time I would buy a few dozen pieces of bait and fish it all up. Some bait would get me four to Six fish before having to add a new piece of bait on. By the end of my fishing trips I would go on the AH and sell them and wait. Resulting in a very good profit due to making 90% profit back from bait prices. I could afford to play and have fun. Instead of grinding my way through dynamic events or monsters to some how hopefully get an good drop. Fishing could really open up the crafting world, you just have to open up your minds to the possibilities.
I played a few years of Final Fantasy 11, which was by far the best game for crafting in my opinion and fishing. Fishing should be some what of a mini game in my opinion. Not a spot on the map and hit “F” and your done. Just simple simplicity of maybe fighting the fish a little bit, and fish where ever there is water would be perfect. It would not be hard to code, I assure you
The pain would be adding in the new skill, crafts, etc.
Arena Net could go far with it. Giving or selling fishing gear on the Trading post to maybe give a boost to night time fishing or certain area fishing. There is so much that could be done.
CJH, I agree on the random monster pulls! FF11 had something similar and it was awesome. It also stopped bottling and gold sellers. Monsters would pull up on the boat and kill the botters. Pure awesomeness. Haha

All really good ideas really, those all could fit into one large idea.
The title kind of sums it up really. What MMO doesn’t have fishing? Its nice to take a break from leveling and crafting, and just simply throw a line out and chat with friends. Or may be its just me, and its something in MMO’s that will slowly disappear?
Something on the line of having fishing spots, just like harvest spots.
That’s true, not to ramble on or sound like I’m complaining, but I did that with the Ranger I mentioned. But gathering would be fun for the crafting.
More on advice, really. I find my self going from character to character, deleting one after another. I finally landed on Guardian for the second time, this time I’m leveling it up and trying to stay attached. I had a Ranger at level 75, but just got bored for some reason, ( no offense to the Rangers here ).
Of course starting all over again, which is my fault of course, would anyone have any suggestions to get me that much more involved into the profession I’m playing?
I harvest all I can, do all the events I can, as well as the story line. I love the game, I would love to hear what some of you do to level quickly, or just to have fun!
