PvP ignorance doesn’t seem to realize that the nerf to the skill in PvE comes from the CAST TIME.

PvE mobs strike a lot faster, harder, and with less telegraphs than player skills.

Increasing the cast time to 0.75 seconds makes this a pretty weak reactive tool to defend your team with as most boss/mob attack rates are below 0.75 seconds so you basically eat the attack before the cast is done.

I can’t think of a single attack nasty enough to require aoe distortion that executes in less than .75 seconds.

That being said, .75 seconds is still stupidly long.

What Tarcis says here hits the nerve because ultimatly a broken meta impacts the very spirit of competition that we all want to see in spvp. Instead, we get MMR tanking, losing pips when someone on your team Dc/afks , “high level comp enforcement” and more ridiculousness.

Yesterday I won a game, didnt get a pip, after that I lost a game and didnt lose a pip either.

I honestly dont unterstand how this system should be competitive at all if you can win or lose and doesnt get rewarded/punished for it.

I follow the pro league since its start and I was really hyped to get into PvP but the more I watch and play the more it annoys me. Somehow this meta isnt fun to me and that really depresses me. (I’m pretty bad in PvP though but where’s the point in “getting good” if its not fun to play? :/)

HoT is basically “get good or die”, and I absolutely love that.

Pre HoT GW2 was pretty lame, you barely got punished for playing bad, now you need to play good to succeed, which makes the game pretty fun to play.

/edit: btw I played the content with serveral classes I havent really played before and I survived most of the time. Stating that a whole team got wiped by a Mordrem Sniper is pretty sad tbh since their dmg is easy to avoid.

AG bl today was a total disaster. No cooperation at all, no scouts. No guilds running solo so there were only 2 blobs, one each per side of the map.

why would they stop playing the game as intended because your server can’t provide the numbers? AG is the only server which whines constantly about being bad and not being able to compete with other servers.

I guess there’s someone mad about Aurora Glade obviously being the Server with the best prime time in this match up and maybe aswell in this whole Silver League.

In my opinion Anet should try to balance WvWvW a bit, even if they told WvWvW wont be a balanced game mode.
They for example could let the prime time ticks count more than the ticks during the night or morning.
That aswell would prevent domination through night capping guilds from other regions.

But hey… It’s Anet. They wont ever balance anything tbh.

Could VZ Guilds just stop running away on Kodash Borderland?
