It would be nice to put the new elite spec icons characters in PvP so you can see what you are up against.

This is exactly why they shouldn’t. Seeing the elite spec icon will allow players in the warmup period more information than they should have to swap sigils etc in order to counter it. Knowing even a single traitline your opponent has chosen is too much information before the game starts.

Seriously, this weapon is atrocious. I am the most easily kited thing I’ve ever attempted to play in PvP. Basically need a team to hold something still for me.

Ah well. Somehow it’s still…kinda fun?

The only good reason to use greatsword in pvp was for the vuln stacking before going into shroud. After the Blighter’s Boon nerf life force generation is untenable with the great sword. I hate feeling like I always have to play dagger/warhorn with power builds.

[Sugguestion] Remove Downed State From WvW.

Downed state could be ok if just to remove the instant rally of all downed after killing just 1 target, or make it withing a range or limited by number of rallied maybe

It’s not the down state that is the problem, it’s the rally mechanics. Having all those players rally off of one kill and rallying off of mobs.

At least the mob rallies will be curtailed in HoT, being limited to veterans or higher.

They should really just make it so you can only rally off a target you attacked only from downed state rather than any target you’ve previously attacked. This would tone down 90% of insta rallies and make reviving allies more important. Honestly, this would probably even be a good change for the other game modes as well. Downed state is fine-ish but the rally mechanic has always been too easy to get back up.

7. Necromancer’s Spectral Armor while in Death Shroud Mode.

Unless I missed something and it is bugged in some way I am not aware, this is not and should not be possible. When entering shroud spectral armor is removed as per the tooltip. The trait that auto procs it does so off a health threshold so if you are already in shroud it shouldn’t be possible to set it off and you cannot manually use it since all utilities are locked in shroud.

Tooltips weren’t adjusted, but this was changed a long time ago.

Just checked the wiki and even the tooltip there wasn’t updated. The footnote saying it is usable right before shrouding now is from 2013.

Get it together ANet.


Thanks for pointing that out, I had stopped playing around that time. I learned something today.

Courtyard’s biggest weakness is that it was designed for 2v2 or 3v3, then randomly thrown into a 5v5 mode. If it had its own queue to support the right team-size you would see a LOT less QQ.

5v5 death-match, as played currently in courtyard, would work better in a more fitting map. Perhaps we will see some interesting developments with Guild Hall arenas that allow people to experiment.

I’d agree with that, if they wanted to keep the 5v5 though they could add a mechanic to the map that still keeps the spirit of team deathmatch. If any of you have played Warhammer Online it had a really great map called Temple of Mourkain. Premise was a team deathmatch but there was an orb. If you help the orb you took increased damage. If you got a kill holding the orb you gained increased points, if you died holding the orb you were worth more points.

One of the biggest problems with Courtyard is that most teams just zerg around mindlessly and don’t focus their attacks, orb mechanic could help focus even the dumbest of players and the spirit of deathmatch is alive since the objective still remains as “kill the opposing team”

Or just give it a separate queue, add a few more maps and bump teamsize down to 3.
