I have noticed the weird “chugs” here and there as well but never any crashes which is great. Seems like it doing some weird memory dump or something. All drivers are the latest available and sys is no slouch
4790k/z97/16gb/ssd/980ti

I have exactly the same issue, the game “freezes” for like 1-3 secs and then runs smooth again, just like OP, i think its when the memory is dumped (Happens every once in a while, approx same time i would have crashed on the 32bit client + half an hour).

My gaming rig is almost the same 4790k/z97/16gb/ssd raid0/970OC

Getting these “freezes” as well.

I had my task manager open on the last one and noticed my CPU usage spike up to 100% during the freeze then back down into normal levels. My CPU is an I7-3770 3.4Ghz and I don’t get these freezes in the 32bit client.

Look at your memory usage .. and if you don’t have kitten listen to your harddisk.
With 64-bit client we now have more addressable memory than what our systems
have, and so virtuell memory will maybe be used again. However i’m not sure
how exactly Windows handles that, since 16 GB ram should normally not run
full, but with 8GB it can happen.

Everything else was normal. Memory was still not being hit too hard but the CPU spiked. I should add I am on Windows 10 since it seems some people that have had the same issues were on 10 as well. I am running with 16 GB of ram also and I am not noticing it spike up in usage.

Should have done away with the old maps completely.

People will continue going to Eternal Battlegrounds because its the easy way to farm. People like to blob zerg because its the path of least resistance.
