Was afraid there wouldn’t be a good alternative. Really a shame event trains were ruined so much.

It would’ve been cool if Anet made a alternative event train route in f/e Orr or something. It was a fun aspect in the game which is now completely taken out.

But okay, will have to row with what we have don’t we? Thanks for the answers and can’t really pick one, so +1 to ya’ll.

Ofcourse I would agree with you if I would see the CPU being fully utilized. But the game doesn’t. As seen in the picture it doesn’t show the CPU usage as a whole, but the usage per CPU core. And even if only 3 cores are utilized, than I would at least expect them to be fully utilized in order to produce the maximum possible framerate.

Right now I’m really wondering if it’s my system that is not powerfull enough, or if it’s the engine which doesn’t make good use of the availlable hardware.

In other words: if I were to upgrade my system (i7 920 + GTX 460) to i5 4670k + GTX 770, would the game even run better as it doesn’t even make full use of the calc power it now has?

Having been away from GW2 for almost a year and after experiencing some changes I could use some advice.

I play on the server Far Shiverpeaks ankitten o longer in a guild (should go out look for a nice one) but I rerolled and made me a new character (Charr Guardian). Used a scroll to get the kitten to level 20 ankitten ow wondering what I should do to level.

I did some crafting but as I don’t have an insane amount of gold to spend to craft quickly, it soon started to bore the kitten out of me to craft with minimum expenses.

I do not feel like exploring the kitten world again and doing those annoying hearts all the way up to 80.

So I went to Queensdale to see if a train was up and got to hear the events were modified to kill the farm trains (change on the timers, and no more champions). Bummer, so then many of the peeps advised me to go hunt in the edge of the mists, saying there were trains up there doing events and so forth.

So I went to the edge of the mist, and found out it’s no different than wvw. Now wvw is fun, if your in a good guild that is dedicated to wvw. It ain’t no fun running around there solo, at least that’s my opinion. And I did enough wvw back in the day to now say that I am still borred of it.

So my question: are there any alternative event trains which actually include champions? Or alternative methods of powerleveling which are good fun? Am currently level 23 so not able to do start with them dungeons yet.

Hi there, I have a question regarding the framerate of the game on my PC.

I regularly experience noticeable framedrops while playing the game and this while my GPU and CPU both aren’t even close to 100% usage.

In the attached picture you can see the framerate is still reasonable (51 fps) but it shows a very low usage of the GPU and CPU cores. As regular as the framedrops, as soon as the GPU hits 99% and the cores hit higher ’s (almost never 99 and never all of the cores, but still higher) the framerate goes up to 100+ fps and when I turn my character a quarter the GPU usage can go down to as low as 30% CPU cores usage goes down as well and the framerate hits 35 FPS. This mainly seems to happen in crowded area’s.

So basically what I don’t understand: how does it come the game doesn’t run @ 99% GPU/CPU usage with a 80+ fps in the picture as seen in the attachment while it is able to do so if I f/e look in another direction or walk in another area?

Is this an engine mishap?

2. I like spvp

USA server is no option if you want to spvp > ping.

The solutions are so simple and will stop the complaints for a huge freakin group and start the complaining of a small group.

If Anet is so bound to the 24/7 principle: IP blocks for non European players on European servers, character transfer once per week. And American/Canadian Spanish/French servers.

If Anet is smart and goes with the easiest most obvious solution: time slot on WvWvW servers. Midweek 8.00 hours – 00.00 hours, saturday night fully open. This way people will naturally move to their specified (time zone) server.

Right now Western-European servers don’t even get a chance in WvWvW. Knowing that whatever you do is meaningless makes the game crap.
