They are fantastic and really bring the bow staff like feel to the skills with the staff. The new evades look great and I am happy to say that this is the exact change I was looking for the the DD vibe to make it jive for me. Thank you for your hard work guys !
So I, like many players of GW2 , wish for Tengu to be playable as a race in this game. I however am not surprised that this has not come to pass. Producing a new race is a challenging thing for a MMO to accomplish as there are hundreds of skins to make fit this new race, then there are the animations, and so forth.
However I am more concerned with the lore. Given the events of Scarlet’s assault on LA and the rise of Mordemoth I would think that the Tengu would recognize this tremendous and immanent threat to the world and come out of the city. I would not be surprised if this did not coincide with them being playable, I just want to know what in Dwayna’s name is going on in the minds of their government.
I feel like based on the events of GW2 since launch, from the death of Zaihtan, Scarlets war and the rise of Mordy that the Tengu would see that the major races of Tyria are allied for the greater good of all those who call Tyria home.
So what I want to know is if there is any lore to support the fact that the Tengu have yet to come out from hiding or seemingly even acknowledge the events of recent years?
TL;DR : Why are Tengu still hiding ? What more proof could they possibly need that the allied races of Tyria can be trusted to work for their better interests ?
So it has finally been done, Scarlet is defeated and we have a nice set up for what is to come next from the living story. In the first year we were given our first villain born entirely from the in game events and heroes to fight against her. While we had many great little adventures fighting her forces, delving into her dungeons and collecting a ton of loot and fun little trinket items the question remains as to what comes next ?
During many of these events there were many various fixes and changes to the game. Many of these were desperately needed as the game at launch definitely had it’s struggles. The nice thing was that even while doing tons of fixes and changes we were also given story and content to play through which was an amazing way for Anet to keep updating the game without leaving old content to feel stale.
However now that we have gone more than a year of living story the question remains as to what is next and what do we as the players want to see ? I will list a few things I want to see in the coming year (12 months) and would like to ask what you, the community hopes the living story will bring you as well.
The things I hope to see are mostly expansive things on the world as it is.
- More weapon options for more classes, be that some new ones or just giving more options from the existing pool.
- More expansion of tyria, without the 40 $ deposit GW2’s competitors like to demand, such as opening up a new zone or a new level 80 hub outside of Orr and The place were the Claw spawns.
- Possibly a new race ? It would be nice but this one is purely wishful thinking I am sure.
- Buffs to classes that have a tough time finding a niche in dungeons like necros/engineers/rangers. ( These classes are all strong imo they just need some help in regards to dungeons, pvp they are superb imo)
-As cool as a new class sounds and I would love to see one I honestly do not know what niche it would fill that another doesn’t already so shrug.
-Craft able precursor weapons, for the love of god.
-New dungeons outside of Fractals.
