Im all for valkyrie armor. And if capes get included at some point im dropping all my characters to play heavy armor classes. On that note I’d like some more cloth on heavy armor. Its called ‘heavy’, not ‘fullplate’. Maybe the 15th will have something nice to show us. It cant hurt to hope I guess
I use sword/horn/whatever weapon i have at hand (im still leveling).
i like stacking lots of might on my pet with rampage as one, warhorn 4, QZ and that might on crit trait. I havent really found a weaponset that I liked for AoE options though (any suggestions?)
I thought dressup was normal. Ummmm I thought that was what vanity gear was for.
I tried making a male thief but I was annoyed at how ugly- YES I KNOW PEOPLE HAVE SAID THIS BEFORE.
I cant help it if GW2 human females look so awesome in so many armor sets. Its like a moth to a flame. Just like the Rascal set made me make a male. I also have 2 asuras because they are too adorable. I dont think I have some sort of complex regarding little hyperintelligent creatures just because of that though.
How can people get worked up over this anyway. I can understand if its a petition to create more body types, more hairstyles, etc but from a pure ‘choosing your gender’ standpoint I dont see how it concerns other people what gender I choose nor do I see anything wrong with choosing another race or gender.

I think the signet tweak basically solved the backstab burst issue. I think the biggest problem people have now is that thieves can keep backstabbing afterwards. If it was literally a combo you could only do once then those that like big numbers (me) are satisfied, but also making backstab values more… consistent? Meaning those that still die from 1 backstab combo are the ones who have no defensive stats (in which case seriously, what did you expect).
Making backstab cost initiative sounds like a good idea on paper. I think making it a skill with cooldown will solve the problem entirely. d/ gets a new stealth attack that doesnt make people whine about how thieves are op in stealth (eg: who complains about sword stealth daze attack), you cant do the combo, fail, leave, then try again (cd).
Say backstab becomes a utility skill. You have to sacrifice an entire utility skill to backstab. It also has a cooldown. You have to commit to it. How it works like this compared to before is basically the same except the counters people tell you about actually work. As in a stunbreaker will completely screw backstab builds.
What if this skill was like an elementalist glyph, backstab for dagger, i dunno, parry for sword or something (not going into that). Weapon swapping becomes an interesting option (trickery weapon swapping trait?). You can use backstab + HS to gib people at low hp though there are ways to stop that (that are more clear and perhaps easier/more readily available?). Anyways its just an idea.
The main point is people have problems with backstab and nothing else, but thief players feel they’re too squishy and their other weapons aren’t good enough to stand toe to toe with the other classes if they get nerfed any further. I thought the next patch was a balance patch that included changes for thieves. IMO I would just wait until it comes out and we test those changes before saying anything more as I highly doubt they will include anything we say here in the next patch.
Rifle for thief sounds like the coolest weapon in the universe.
imo the problem people are having with stealth is basically just the backstab. Not many people complain about how thieves keep stealthing, only that they kill you after they leave stealth. What I’m saying here is I’d like more stealth based gameplay.
Here’s an idea: Rifle has a stealth ability that breaks once you move but lasts much longer than regular stealth skills with a stealth breaking ability that does more damage the longer you stayed stealthed up to a cap (no stealth stacking ranged backstab level damage hopefully?). Since its a sniper weapon right…? Seems a little bit too much to add in a patch though.
Ricochet being an on crit skill is an amazing idea I would endorse it if I knew what endorse meant.
Aside from stealth I also like how awesome death blossom looks, and we have an entire trait line called ‘Acrobatics’. I kind of wish we had more actual acrobatic moves that did stuff aside from rolling backwards.
I dont really like shortbow. Cluster bomb…. well its just an aesthetic/thematic thing, if thieves had access to more bombs then I dont mind how much of an anti stealth weapon the shortbow is. I’d like a root or cripple skill for shortbow though.
Thieves have a billion and a half ministuns and the only one that lasts longer than 1 second is an elite skill… so they’re basically all interrupts, but for some reason its the rangers that get ‘Attack of Opportunity’. Im just saying.
I mostly agree with changing p/p 2,4,5. I think unload is fine as long as pistol traits RICOCHET COUGH COUGH get tweaked.
