Account has been resolved. i made an update to my ticket and simply waited until someone got to it and sure enough i was sent an Email from Marvin and now i can log in.

although i still cant log in to the support channel and forum with that account, which brings me to another set of question, i used this account to close out the tickets will that create a problem?

UPDATE: the Account has now been Restored, i can log in to the forum and game. though i still dont have access to the support channel but its better than nothing. thank you again, you guys did a great job.

Glad you got your account back. I too finally got my account restored however the password associated with my account is incorrect so basically at least i got my email account back but still cant log on i hope this gets looked into today haha.

Soooo Close, cant wait to play again.

its been hacked since 9/3/12 thou my ticket has been submitted on the 4th, after finding out that someone had changed my email. stating that hopefully it was me who changed it prompt me to submit a incident ticket.

here are my tickets:
Incident: 120904-008725 – Submitted on the 3rd(first Ticket) placed under hacked account.

Incident: 120906-010903 – Submitted in reference to the first Incident:120904-008725 – which is placed a Hacked account option.

Incident: 120905-001803 – submitted in reference to the Incident:120904-008725 – Given with a Heading Status Check of Hacked account, which is placed under “Ask a Question”.

i am not able to go into my main account to delete extra ticket because my email has been changed. this account is my brothers account which i’m using to check on the forum. I’m really hoping that you could help me.

I just want to say thank you for looking into my account. I finally have it restored, although i still cant log in because of the password.

i was wondering what steps to take as i am still having trouble logging in. I’ve tried the password reset method but i’m unsuccessful. what should i do at this point?

First i want to thank ANet and the Support team for looking into my account. you have definitely made this day good for me.

at least i got my email account back, thou the password provided to me was invalid. so my question is now that i have my email account, should i go in and reset my password?

what should i do? i’m asking because i dont want to be locked out of my account if i take any action of my own.

Like most people on this thread I’m baffled by how many people refuse to utilize the profanity filter. If profanity is something that bothers you then why not turn on your filter? Unless your trolling? Its ridiculous that some people are still so sensitive, it’s 2012 for crying out loud learn to use the tool available to you.

If many of you still wont use the filter then read the disclaimer about online games. If that still not enough for you then know that people use profanity to emphasize something whatever that subject maybe. More importantly people use profanity BC they don’t know how to express their feelings in words. If that still not enough for you then may I suggest you step out of your shell and expose yourself to the world. If you think profanity is bad wait until you learn about sarcasm.

I would like some help as well been hack since the third of this month. my email has been change which prevents me from taking any form of action other than simply to report the incident. i also posted on Grey’s thread.

Could you extend your help to me as well? my account was hacked on the third of this month. so far the only response i have is one that asked me to go reset my password, although Lance’s intentions where nice, the instruction provided doesn’t apply in my case because my email has been changed.

A small village lies in utter destruction. Thatched-roof huts emit acrid, white smoke into the air, charred bodies scattered haphazardly. The approaching company looked on in disbelief. What had been a remote epicenter of life in this frontier was completely devastated.

“My God, it’s all gone” the army private said, to nobody in particular. “Any idea what could have done this?” now addressing the Captain.

Just as he was about speak, a dark figure shambled from behind a smoke column towards the soldiers. A small child, probably only ten, slowly made his way through the wreckage.

The private ran to the child, dropping his gun behind him and fell to his knees before the boy. He clutched him by the arms and said, almost yelling, “What the hell happened?! Who did this!” But the boy only stared off into the woods flanking the remnants of his home.

“Say something!” The private screamed, almost in tears.

The boy slowly turned and made eye contact with him, a single tear escaped his eye and began to clear a path through the soot and dirt down his face. The private raised his hand and rubbed the tear from the boys face, smearing it across his cheek.

An explosion rumbled off in the distance and reverberated through the valley, shaking leaves lose from the trees. Bravo company looked at each other uneasily, unsure of what unknown forces they were dealing with.

“Lance… the boy murmured.”

most people are talking about a Banned account on here, how do you know if you banned?

i’m asking because my situation is a bit different from those who are banned. my account was change and i have no access to it what so ever and i dont see a message saying “your banned”

Kitten man i thought this Lance person was a real person who actually looked into my account, now i feel like a fool.

i was wondering why this Lance person sent me an instruction to reset password & authentication…. without thinking bad about the situation i simply assume that my email has been restored and i am now able to reset the password. well guess what i still get the same error from when i started doing exactly this since the 5th. i have known about password reset& authentication since my account was hack don’t they think that people would have tried several alternatives?

So the Messed up thing happen Just now. My brother log into his account and to his surprise i was log on so he came out of his room as ask me if im log on.

obviously someone was playing on my account.

if you guys see my character running around please report him.

I’m posting this to simply describe my situation in hopes that support would send me some kind of confirmation or verification about the status of my account. The purpose of this thread is not to rant about anything (at least I don’t think so) and it is more about seeing how many can relate to the same issue.

So my account has been hack which i found on Tuesday when i tried to log in and it said account doesn’t exist. So i checked the guildwars2 homepage and sure enough my account didn’t exist, then i checked my mail and here’s what it said:

“The e-mail address for your Guild Wars account has been changed?
9/03/12
ArenaNet
To kempis_dwight@msn.com
Someone -hopefully you!- has requested to change the email address associated with your Guild Wars account.

So obviously my response was WTF!? Are you serious!? How?
Well there was only one thing I could do and that is to report the incident(Incident:120904-008725) on 9/4/12 which is the tab “Hacked Account” completely filled in all the question as well as provide additional question according to the automated response.

After not hearing anything for several hours I updated the incident (hopefully a ticket is the same as the incident#) by re-replying to the same auto response I received. 24hrs passed I opened a question and gave it a heading: “status check on hacked account” in reference to “Incident:120904-008725” which gave me another incident# (Incident:120905-001803)on 9/5/12, the message I sent was basically asking for a verification or some kind of confirmation that someone is looking into matter and not fall into deaf ear.

So having not heard from CS I searched around to see if anyone else is having the same problem and sure enough there were (sort of glad I wasn’t the only one) others on this forum, guru and other forums which populated on Google once searched for hacked account turnaround time. After much digging I realized everyone else is talking about a Ban account, or other account related problem and some reported hacked but they know who or where he/she is being hacked from or how many times someone tried to log in.

Q. How do you even know that your account is Ban/Band?
Q. How do you know who hacked you?
Q. Does anyone have similar issue as mine?

This is too much to take in as my issue is that someone has completely taken over my account and GW2 support website won’t/can’t allow me to log into the email(it is already registered though I cant log in) that was hack to even post this message(understandable).

After enough searching and digging for information I cant upon this:
“Submit a ticket using the “Ask a Question” tab on this page: http://support.guildwars2.com/ Please read the Announcements at the top of the front page, and remember to use the search engine before you post or enter Live Help.”

Also on the guildwars2 wiki update it mentioned (its no longer there) it will prioritize hacked account and will be responding within 72 hours. So I’m thinking today is the day that I will get some kind of response. To be sure that my account will be fixed I resubmitted an incident which gave me a new number – Incident:120906-010903 (this is before reading about using the “Ask question” option) on 9/6/12 in reference to the first incident#.

So today (hopefully) I assume I will be getting some kind of response from support since today will be the end of that 72 hours response time. Btw this is my brother’s account that I’m using to post this message with (though both accounts we purchase by me).

Q. Are incident# the same as a ticket?
Q. did I open too many incident?
Q. is it possible to call support to speed up the process?( I would wait an hour on the phone if that means it would fix the problem)

Sorry about the lengthy post, I’m sure most of you could understand my frustrations.
