You could try and run it in windowed mode. This is not optimal but until a fix is out this could be a solution. For me it seems like the game all of a sudden is not able to run in fullscreen which is strange since it had been doing that ever since I started playing it.

To run the game in windowed mode you should create a shortcut to your gw2.exe. Add -windowed to the destination of the shortcut(found through properties of the shortcut).

I am pretty sure I have the same problem.
Seems like the game all of a sudden is not able to run in fullscreen for me anymore. Reason I am saying this is that I am able to run it in windowed mode, but that is ofcourse not optimal.
Should you want to try this out until a fix is out you should make a shortcut of your gw2.exe file. Then go into properties of that shortcut and put -windowed after the “destination” so that it now reads:
“…\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe” -windowed
Once the game is up and going you can try and change the setting back to fullscreen, but I personally haven’t had any luck with this.

Good to see that I am not the only one. Now I guess I can just hope that a fix is out soon.
