Guild Wars 2

Make it GvG, or add a mode of GvG, lots of problem will disappear.

You don’t need to worry about the following:
world link rotation
transfer between world
world population
Alpine or Desert (like PvP, guild can select the map they like to join)

With the world link mechanism, it’s easy to change GvG.

I had this thought for long time ever since Guild Wars. Now with the world link concept it is a good time to propose my idea for WvW, or GvG.

Now we have Guild Wars2 and WvW but still nowhere we can find what’s fit in the title of “Guild Wars”. There is no wars between Guild although WvW is the closest fit to this concept.

People like to play WvW mainly because they want to fight the opponent of Human player instead of A.I. player. Also the convenience to be able to join in anytime they want, be casual or be serious.

What I really want to see is the GvG instead of the WvW. We can leave the map as it is and name the BL map as red,blue,green while keep the EB not changed. Every week, each guild will be assigned one of the color and fight like the WvW. Each guild will have WvW (GvG) rank so that it put them into different tiers. The rank of each guild is determined by the Kill and Capture of members and the overall Score (maybe). Each tier can have several guilds assigned with fixed color for each week. Pugs can join randomly to any tier and locked for that week.

It has all the WvW feature and there are some extra benefits.

1. Guild will be more active. To be honest, the guild concept right now has nothing very special other than a name tag.

2. Lions Arch will have more recruit going on therefore be more active as before the “mega server”. I remember we used to call out help for our World when our keep or SMC is in danger.

3. It goes along with the idea of Mega server so each guild can have members in different server( world). This will also help to balance the user account on each server so that anet can add or merge servers according to the active player without worrying about the hassle of adding or removing servers. Right now I believe Blackgate has many people waiting in line to join the server while some server has lot of resource available.

4. If it is possible the EU server can merge with NA server so that anytime you jump in GvG (WvW) you will always find something going on.

Anet, please consider.

And I would like to hear anything that’s in favor or against this idea.

Can we link NA and Europe server together? So that WvW will have 24 hours fight.

Or is it possible to use Guild instead of World so that better fit in the Guild Wars title. Each guild can have their own rank, and be able to join in the map according to their tier. You can limit each guild to have less than 200 members. You can use color to name the 3 bl and leave EB as it is.
