I have a similar issue. I have been playing gw2 since the release and I bought a new laptop about a year ago. I never had any fps issues always 30+ fps in zergs and 100+ fps in pvp. Since 2 days my fps dropped(while playing) to 10-30 fps. It happened while I was doing some “things” in LA. I tried changing setting but nothing is bringing my fps back up. Only if I stand still and no one in my environment is using a skill, my fps rises to 60 ish, but as soon as I start moving or using skills it’s dropping back to 20fps. Help? :<
Can’t stop playing it. For so long I have been shifting around my S/D build and I can finally settle down and rampage around. Thanks a lot Denied
Yes it’s a tpvp setup but I love it in every single way in either tpvp or wvw, if you play it with the slightest bit of brainpower and remember what you can and can’t fight. As with any build you need to know what your capable of and what limits you.
The build requires you to have a different mind set. The current thief “meta” (rather refer to cheesy) builds are build around giving chase to your enemy and bailing power if stuff get’s hot (stealth leaps etc.). Sword gives you the capability to actively defend an objective or control a fight to your own set rules. Adding the fact that this setup might have the biggest gap closing initiation (great for picking off back liners in zergs).
It’s an awesome build if learn how to play it.
I’d like to explain my experience on the tool.
As always I was searching a party for my daily AC p1 and p3 runs. Instead of using gw2lfg.com I tried the new tool. When advertising my party I enter my usual text: AC p1 and p3, experienced lvl 80’s. What do I get? lvl 35-60 players. I have no problem with it normally, but when I want to do my daily runs I want to do it effective and fast. After a good 30 minutes I managed to get a party together with lvl 80 players. The conclusion of this was me explaining the tacts and stacking places(not my definition of experienced :x).
To prevent this is it possible to add an option with a minimal lvl requirement? And other options to make it more clear that I want to have experieced players for a speed run(Similar to the options @ gw2lfg.com)?
Usability is decent, but I don’t understand why people can merge my party without me accepting it or anything. It happened several times that my party(for AC p1, p3) got merged with a party that went p2.
Overall the idea of the tool is great, but I stick to gw2lfg.com for now.
