Small correction to OP, sigil of blood has a CD of 2 secs so it would proc at most like 2 times during a pistol whip, instead of 4.5, which would be around 1k less healing in your example. Still a lot of healing though if you build for it…

Thanks for the replies. I had never noticed the signets of power trait, I usually look right past signet traits in general though. Was hoping there was a more reasonable way to get this kind of damage than a build like that =P. Maybe I’ll settle for a bit less spike and put some real utilities in there.

Let me preface by saying this is not a whine post, my question is how do I build a thief that can HS for 11.5k on a target with 2.5k armor? I have a thief I just leveled to 80 and would like to learn how to build him to do this. I know it’s possible b/c I was roaming on my necro and this happened to me after I had downed another necro 1v1 and was on low health.
When I plug in some numbers in the damage calculation for a HS on a low health target, even with say 2.5k power and +120% crit damage, runes of the Eagle, exposed weakness trait and executioner trait, I can’t get anywhere near that high. Admittedly I don’t know what buffs the thief had, but he seemed to be roaming with a guardian b/c the guardian was trying to res the necro I had just fought.
Can anyone provide a build that can do this kind of damage, this is what I am looking to do with my new thief when I roam with him.
