I’ve been 80 for days now, and have done the typical Berserker’s GS build because it’s hilariously fun to insta-gib sub80’s who have no clue how to dodge, or choose utility skills. Now the novelty has slightly worn off, and found me an exotic hammer which I can’t put down. I’ve been loving the hell out of the hammer, as it feels to bring a lot more than just raw damage like the Greatsword does.
Now don’t get me wrong, GS is amazingly good in almost all PvE dungeons. 100B cleave on scorpion’s in CoF makes it extremely quick. Though I ran it with this hammer last night, and the utility it brings is great. I’ve been looking around for solid PvE+WvW builds that transfer fluidly between both without needing a reset of trait’s every time I want to switch between them.
Currently have a solid 20/25/0/10/15 build, which just by changing a few traits works well in both PvE and WvW while using the GS. Though I’m fairly lost when it come’s to where to trait for a Hammer Warrior. I’ve checked a bunch of SPvP style of build’s, which usually 30pt into Defensive for the hammer trait’s, then a random mix of trait’s everywhere.
Also another thing, would be what Sigil, and rune’s would you recommend for a PvE+WvW hybrid Hammer Warrior? Right now it just has a standard swiftness on critical rune that I can’t say I care much for. Gear is just a bunch of Dolyak rune’s that I’ve salvaged. Tempted to change my rune’s from Dolyak, to either Lyssa, or Melandru. I may also switch from Berserker’s to a more “Knight’s” based set for the extra Vit+Toughness, though I may just change out my gem’s instead to maintain the extra critical damage.

Surprised at the lack of Warriors with more then just Flame Legion gloves.
